1. bump for slight price drop
2. A, wow that was quick bump
3. When I was looking for a cab I came across a few Goliath III's (I ended up with a Goliath one). As I recall they were £300-£350'ish, can't remember what impedance they were, but I imagine the 8ohm's are less in demand than the 4ohm's, also as I recall the metal grille versions are less regarded (apparently they rattle or something). No idea about the Carvin though.
4.
Aren't the Shredfreak and the Diago units identical, aside from the logo, anyway?
Not sure if they're actually the same thing just without a diago logo but that's what they effectively are, had mine 2 years and it's still going strong.
5. A couple of affordable tube amps have come up that I want so I'm tenatively offering this up for sale. It's an absolutely marvellous amp and I'm in no rush to get rid of it. It's a Little Mark 2 just 250 watts at 4 ohms instead of 500, it's still plenty loud and I've never had to have the master volume above 9'0'clock for practice and about 11'o'clock for jams. It's in immaculate condition, a few very light scuffs but it's never been gigged by me or the previous owner (who I think had it from new) Front: Back: Size indication: Bearing in mind shipping will be about £15 I'm asking £290 shipped, open to offers around that price though. Collection is an option, I'm in canterbury, I get free trains so I don't mind delivering/metting up within an hour or so trains ride. (Londons probably the limit) This'll be withdrawn as soon as the things i'm interested in sell
6. Would you be willing to ship it? Also got any idea on just how heavy it is? And rough dimensions would be very nice too, cheers. And is an 8ohm cab not an ideal choice?
7. Going the day before with a mate for his bday, if they were my tickets i'd sell them and buy these, you get Biffy Clyro and we get Lily Allen........
8. I imagine there's a government advice document somewhere about men making internet posts asking for women in block capitals.
9.
hmmm....... not really ... unless its a deal i couldn't refuse!!
LM250 + £100 from me? Or I could add a pedal or 2 if you're so inclined?
10. Interested in a p/x for a little mark 250?
11. I'd give max (silentfly on here) an email. His website's here, I'd imagine he'll have some ideas for a custom system he could build you, I remember he built an audio tuner for a blind bassist a while back (which may have been you thinking about it)
12. The new Oceansize album, the slightly macarbley titled Self Preserved While The Bodies Float Up. My face, it is melted. The songs aren't as good as frames (on which every song was amazing) but it just sits together as an album beautifully.
13.
I'm currently starting to get a pedalboard together, already have a couple of things (Akai Unibass and EH Bassballs USA) but am looking for a few more so it'd be nice to have some recommendations from pedal buffs on here.. so recommendations for: chorus pedal delay pedal synth pedal loopstation type thing (though will prob go with rc20xl on this as had one before) power brick
Chorus - and old 18v danelectro cool cat, needs it's own power supply but it's a very very good chorus for £30 2'nd hand Delay is a tricky one, it depends what you're gonna use it for, there's a lot of features to consider, how much delay time do you need, analogue or digital, tap tempo, modulation, stereo/mono, etc, I'd consider one of boss's compact ones for simple'ish stuff (DD-3/6/5/7), or a dd-20 or line6 dl-4 if you want bells and whistles (I've got a dd-20 and I love the bells and whistles) Synth - and old EHX Bass MicroSynth, but the bypass is beyond awful, so you'll need a True Bypass loop or to mod it to true bypass, it needs it's own power supply and it's the size of a small island nation, but it sounds amazing. You can get a new BMS which is smaller and TB, but it doesn't sound as good. Power Brick - This it's beyond amazing. It's basically the diago PSU's they sell for £70. I've had mine for 2 years and it's powered about 15 pedals at one point. It would be an amazing PSU for £50 for £11 it's borderline theft. Only downsides are it only provides 9v tip negative (boss style) power, which some pedals (digitech whammys, line6, a lot of EHX pedals) don't take. Also, get a diago daisychain. It'll probably cost you as much as that powersupply but it's worth it. May I also premept the dozen suggestions you're about to get to get a dirt pedal. Get a dirt pedal. There's a billion different options so it depends on your band sound etc. But you need a dirt pedal, or 5 (my record is 6 at the same time). Welcome to the world of pedalmania, you may want to take pawn your silverware now to save time.
14. Could I get a pic of the pickups? Cheers
15. And sold pending the usual

Octave

Go directly to OC-2, do not pass go, do not collect £200.
18. Apparently they're perfect for circuit bending if you're that way inclined, i'm very tempted myself they seem cool
19. The sound of my life and sanity slowly draining away also some oceansize

Tribfest

Did "tribfest" conjure up a very different image for anybody else? Or is it just my smutty mind and extensive vocabulary?
22. If this is still here in a month or so (which I doubt it will be) I'll probably have it off you.
23. I use my Turbo Rat, Mastotron, oc-2 set to full direct and abour half oct-1, and my Groove Regulator. Sounds pretty much dead on to me. Although to do it really properly you'll need a Low Pass Filter with an expression pedal for the pre-chorusy bits, but to be honest I doubt anyone will notice.
24. ZVex Mastotrron, near enough to the wooly mammoth, effectively gated and a lot more versatile, can sound quite synthy
