1. Pulp Mill will be on evilBay in the morning. Hate to do it but needs must.
2. I'll be there , it'll be an awesome gig for whoever gets these
3.
This is the second time I have used fluorescent paint and it is just a massive ballache
You might try pointing the spout UP.
4. Gah, you are an evil man. Up for trades? I have a reasonably healthy kidney and a ripe avocado.
5.
I must say that the bobbass4k mod circuit was absolutely amazing when tried at last nights practice with my stingray, gotta back right off the vol but huge dirty fuzz and a lot of interesting resonant frequencies and oscillations going on, its a great fun pedal this! Guitarist wants one now. You have to be quite careful with the settings of the 5 knobs as you get a huge range of evil racket as well as some full on hi gain fuzz out of this thing. More raucous than a woolly mammoth, and less controllable. I was thinking it might just need a wet/dry blend control but why try to tame a rampant rhino? It's not designed to be a house pet.
Good to know the layout works (save the cockup I made with the LED). I haven't got round to building mine yet, I've had quite a lot to do now I'm back home (I believe the technical term is a s***load). Once I've boarded out the loft (seriously), I'll get to building it.
6. Gah, why is this pink/why I am I not more affeminate?
7.
65daysofstatic 'We were exlpoding anyway' Fantastic.
Easily my favourite album of this year, well it will be until oceansizes new album comes out in september
8. Seek Trem now on evilBay: here
9. Considering evilBay for the seektrem, really don't want to put the pulp mill on t'bay though.
10. Aren't we supposed to keep comments on pricing to PM? But yea, you'll find it a lot easier to sell it for that kind of money on evilBay
11.
Correct, without it you can't swap patches and use the tap tempo instantly, you need to engage the delay, hold the switch for 2 seconds then start tapping... I also go from one type of delay to another and would need to hold it for 2 second to turn off, change patch, hold for 2 seconds, turn on, then start tapping again. The £4 it cost me off eBay seemed worth it for practicalities sake...
Fair enoguh, it's never really bothered me with mine, but I don't change patches that much, I either set it to a nice general delay or knob-twiddle of oscillaty noise craziness.
12. Looking good, but how come you're using an external tap switch for the dd-20? So you can switch patches and use tap tempo simultaneously?
13. It's (almost) summer which means i'm listening to Kyuss almost exclusively.
14. It's nearly the end of term, soon all my money will be replaced by booze, which will then be replaced by vomit and shame. Hence I'd like this to be replaced by some cash.
15.
Bob, your B is flat...
As a man with a severe bee sting allergy (they give me a mild case of death), I take a perverse pleasure in that picture. And my B isn't flat, it's just cable noise, which is odd, because sometimes it's a sharp G and sometimes that flat B.
16. I'm building a fuzz factory clone, I've wanted to mess around with one for ages, but not enough to drop £100 2'ns hand. Anywho just wanted to run the stripboard layout I came up with by everyone: I basically combined a stripboard layout I found with the schematic here. Just wondering if anyone can spot any major cockups I've made, improvements I could make etc. I might end up putting the little LED and (what I assume) is the rectifier bit on it's own little bit of stripboard, as the stab knob probably won't be with the others. Also, anyone got any suggestions for any bass friendlier mods? I've already increased the first and last cap values.
17. Anyone know anywhere to get pre-drilled enclosures in the UK? I know pedal-parts-plus do them but I've got all the other parts so I kind of want one ASAP. I hate not having a drill.
18.
It was originally up at £215 in equivalent €. As pointed out this was way too cheap but at £350 about right for the current going rate.
Yea, figured it wouldn't be up at that price for long
19. godDAMN it, I just spent my pedal money on a seek trem, for £215 this is a bargain
20. Oceansize - The Charm Offensive. Can't wait for the new album.
21.
Oh my ****ing ****ing ****er of a ****itty ****erizer. I've never seen that Bugbrand Bitcrusher for sale since he ran out of them and I miss this one. This is one of those times when swearing just isn't adequate... Can I ask what it went for?
A-f***ing-men
22. Thanks for the links man, more bumpage.
23. Finally got round to finishing my muff clone, only I can't find the 9v jack, so how would I go about wiring up just a battery clip? Obviously the +ve goes to the 9v on the board, but would i wire the +ve straight to ground or to the ring of the input jack? I'm building it from this btw Cheers
