1. Aren't we supposed to keep comments on pricing to PM? But yea, you'll find it a lot easier to sell it for that kind of money on evilBay
2.
Correct, without it you can't swap patches and use the tap tempo instantly, you need to engage the delay, hold the switch for 2 seconds then start tapping... I also go from one type of delay to another and would need to hold it for 2 second to turn off, change patch, hold for 2 seconds, turn on, then start tapping again. The £4 it cost me off eBay seemed worth it for practicalities sake...
Fair enoguh, it's never really bothered me with mine, but I don't change patches that much, I either set it to a nice general delay or knob-twiddle of oscillaty noise craziness.
3. Looking good, but how come you're using an external tap switch for the dd-20? So you can switch patches and use tap tempo simultaneously?
4. It's (almost) summer which means i'm listening to Kyuss almost exclusively.
5. It's nearly the end of term, soon all my money will be replaced by booze, which will then be replaced by vomit and shame. Hence I'd like this to be replaced by some cash.
6.
Bob, your B is flat...
As a man with a severe bee sting allergy (they give me a mild case of death), I take a perverse pleasure in that picture. And my B isn't flat, it's just cable noise, which is odd, because sometimes it's a sharp G and sometimes that flat B.
7. I'm building a fuzz factory clone, I've wanted to mess around with one for ages, but not enough to drop £100 2'ns hand. Anywho just wanted to run the stripboard layout I came up with by everyone: I basically combined a stripboard layout I found with the schematic here. Just wondering if anyone can spot any major cockups I've made, improvements I could make etc. I might end up putting the little LED and (what I assume) is the rectifier bit on it's own little bit of stripboard, as the stab knob probably won't be with the others. Also, anyone got any suggestions for any bass friendlier mods? I've already increased the first and last cap values.
8. Anyone know anywhere to get pre-drilled enclosures in the UK? I know pedal-parts-plus do them but I've got all the other parts so I kind of want one ASAP. I hate not having a drill.
9.
It was originally up at £215 in equivalent €. As pointed out this was way too cheap but at £350 about right for the current going rate.
Yea, figured it wouldn't be up at that price for long
10. godDAMN it, I just spent my pedal money on a seek trem, for £215 this is a bargain
11. Oceansize - The Charm Offensive. Can't wait for the new album.
12.
Oh my ****ing ****ing ****er of a ****itty ****erizer. I've never seen that Bugbrand Bitcrusher for sale since he ran out of them and I miss this one. This is one of those times when swearing just isn't adequate... Can I ask what it went for?
A-f***ing-men
13. Thanks for the links man, more bumpage.
14. Finally got round to finishing my muff clone, only I can't find the 9v jack, so how would I go about wiring up just a battery clip? Obviously the +ve goes to the 9v on the board, but would i wire the +ve straight to ground or to the ring of the input jack? I'm building it from this btw Cheers
15. 5 gauss is nothing (a strong fridge magnet is about 50 gauss), I'd check with your doctor about that, if it really is 5 gauss you gave to avoid, you're in for an interesting life. Nerd note: who uses gauss instead of tesla?
16. Oddly enough, the buckle rash has never bothered me, it just feels werid if it rests on the buckle, I either set it to just below the buckle, do it up round the side, or at one gig, I wore a t-shirt and a towel. Although that was for different reasons.
17. Interested in a trade for my tonefactor pulp mill?
18. how many george l's you got left? can you include some cable?
19.
I don't know, I'll see if I can find any clips or reviews that could convince me!
Clips and Reviews I'm helpful I am
20. You are an evil evil man, interested in a Tone Factor Pulp Mill + cash + love for the musket?
21.
Ok - not sure it really is for me then? The demo sounds on the website make it sound really squelchy - not a fair reflection then?
Hmm, maybe we have different ideas of squelchy, the samples on the site are a very good idea of what it can do, the wetter samples are the wettest it'll go, but yea they're a pretty good representation
22.
Just checked out the 3Leaf Groove Regulator and it sounds/looks fantastic - anyone got one that could give an honest appraisal of it?
I've got one, I love it but It doesn't really do full on squelch, it's kind of like a wetter discumbobulator, it gets quite wet, but it's still very transparent, every setting on it is useable, I don't have to worry about blowing speakers or clipping amps, the effects loop is very handy if you plan on running it with a fuzz (or you can set it up so the envelope is triggered by an external source, the kick drum mic or a sampler or whatever)
23. The discumbobulator definitley isn't for you, it's subtle, smooth and transparent, I loved mine, but it can't do dripping wet funk
