1. Shameless bumpage, still looking for trades on the phaser, can involve cash your way, but I'll let it go for £80 Posted. Also still open to trades on the fm-4 for a boutique filter
2. Very interested in this, just have to convince my landord that it's a replacement for my trace 1x15 smx combo does it look like/is it this: also would you be up for shipping it?
3. Would you be willing to split up?
4. Just ordered me a dare strap, I didn't think my bass was adding to my scarily long list of back problems that much, but the rather painful muscle spasms I had while playing the other dayseem to disagree take care of your backs people!
5. Soz man, got all the delay I'll ever need in a dd-20 shaped box
6. Big +1 on the unibass, but to be honest I never use octaves to "fill space", just dirt did the job for me when I was very briefly in a 1 guitar bass and drums band, a good dirt sound will fill out the mid/high end, and a good riff/groove with varied/improvved fills will keep things sounding interesting
7. Why are all the bands I'd want to join in london?
8. Shameless bumpage, moving all my stuff back down to canterbury this week so I might not be super quick responding to PM's but I will get back to anyone who PM's
9.
He might have been well regarded as a teacher but to me, to insist there's only one way to play is a completely blinkered approach! What he should have asked you was `where do you want to go playing wise to leave the plateau and what needs building upon'! Its all common sense really! I've just started teaching someone who had one lesson from another `highly revered' local teacher - his approach to someone just starting out (first ever lesson!) was to tab out the blues scale!!!! Twot!
I realise I probably should have given it another go, and not all teachers are like that, but I think self teaching is a very rewarding experience, I would hate having my playing scheduled, as it is, if I don't feel like playing for a week, I don't, If I want to play for 16 hours straight, I do. After the first year or so of playing through books etc, I mostly learned by learning/figuring out and playing songs I actually liked and wanted to play, instead of the stodgy generic instructional stuff I'd been playing from the books, and that enjoyment of actually doing it is what still keeps me playing, I know quite a few people who are actually very talented at various instruments, but gave up because they were forced to have lessons which they found boring, still, as i said, to each their own
10.
soooo the hot hand sensor is the wireless one? How much you looking for it? (including the pedal obv)
Unfortunately not, it's a wired sensor, the wireless package (sensor, reciever and charger) run about $100 i think, not looking for cash atm, but if i do sell it i'd be looking around the £80 mark
11. To be honest I never got along with teachers, like you, I kind of hit a plateau after a couple of years, so I went to a very well regarded bass teacher, I quit after one lesson, he made me play his way, he made me wear my bass at a certain height, rest my thumb in a paticular place, attack the strings in a certain way, I may be biased, but there was nothing wrong with my technique before that, i never had any physical problems because of my technique, never couldn't play anything beacuse of my technique, but he insisted his was the only way, I quit and never looked back, to me self taught is the only way to go, but everyones different
12. Shameless bumpage
13. If you've still got this at the end of the month i'll relieve you of it
14. Interested in trades on the tremolessence?
15. Are the gaps between the slats big enough to get patch cables through?
16. Bump for FM4 addition
17. Putting my source audio tri-mod phaser up for trade, It's been great, but I'm only using 1 or 2 of the modes and not using the envelope phasing mode, plenty of info here, I now have the wired hot hand sensor to go with it, it's very fun and the lead is very long, also got a sweatband thingy for keeping the lead neat, you can have it if you want but it might be a tad err..... sweaty. Withdrawn for now still up for a trade for an analog phaser or MM4 though Bad pic: Also selling my Line6 FM4, havent had it for that long, it's awesome, just not for me, only using 2 or 3 of the modes and the mutron sound just isn't for me, great condition, few minor scratches and one noticeable scuff but that's it, comes with box, power supply and manual Bad pic: Pretty much sold pending the usual
18. Very interested in this, I assume you're not up for shipping it, would you be able to do a meet up, probably london?
19.
get 3 whammies in a row.
I had 2 whammies and an octaver in a row, the sheer digital craziness was mind-boggling
20. It's been a strange week, my new landlord accidently threw out my trace combo (I honestly don't know how, the seething rage hasn't subsided yet) The good news he's offered to replace it to the tune of £300, I was planning to replace it anyway as I've been wanting to move to a more powerful head and cab setup for years, so I'm gonna spend the £300 on one of them and spend £200-£250 on the other (might be able to stretch to another £300) So basically I'm just wondering whats out there at that kind of price point, i'm pretty uneducated about seperate heads and cabs (understand impedance and wattage everything, I mean manufacturers and sounds etc.), general opinions one which to spend the more money on, 2'nd hand is obviously preferable, needs wise, it's only gonna see small to medium gigging, so 300w into 8ohms is probably good but obviously more is also good, cab wise i'm pretty settled on a 4x10 ideally with a tweeter or a horn, very happy with my dirt pedal set up so I'm not bothered about the dirtiness of the head Cheers

22. Tis now on evilBay: linkage
23. Few new arrivals, unfortunately my 2nd daisy chain died so I can't power everything, if anyone has one they want to get rid of drop me a PM: night shot:
24. discumbobulator's looking good, I just got my FM4 from alex, the basschat pedal circle of life continues glad you like it, it can be subtle on bass, it was designed and presumably voiced for guitar, it can get quite quacky and shrill on guitar, but it doesn't on bass, sounds awesome after other pedals though
