1. Got this off Rich (Ou7shined) a few weeks ago, it's been really fun to play around with, but once I got over the dirty thrill of running it through all my pedals, I realised I've got no practical use for it, and with the end of term and the massive drinking that accompanies it approaching, I can't really justify this anymore, so it's got to go. Looking for about what i paid for it, which was £40 posted, i'll get some more info and pics up tonight
2. Damn you Theo.....I gave up on finding a noisebox on these shores a while ago, now I can't afford it......might be interested in the ls-2 though, depends how much I spend on booze in the last week of term........
3. Welcome to the forum. There is no escape. Very nice board you have there, how do you find the 00funk compared to other filters? I love my discumBOBulator but it's a tad on the subtle side for my uses, and doesn't have as much control as I'd like
4. Green Stache sold pending usual, Cool Cat still up for grabs
5. Really need these gone, so I am open to offers
6. Stupid damn PC, I've been squirelling away some money for a new bass and this looks perfect, I'm very picky about my basses and this is one of the only ones I've seen that i actually want........ but my bloody damn, stupid..motherf.....crap pile of a PC died the other week so I need to build a new one. Which means bye bye new bass.....
7.
Hmm, I've got one of the newer Russian Muffs (black). How much better would you say this is?
It's been a while since I had my black russian muff but I'd say this is a lot better, It's a lot clearer, less muddy, even with the tone knob all the way down, the low end is very defined, the tone and sustain knobs are just generally more useable, I remember on my black russian, there was only a few settings that really sounded good, even with the tone and sustain knobs cranked I'd say it still sounds good, and it's 1/2 the size, 9v power jack and true bypass
8. I wish I could afford to have kept this, I don't need compression but I loved this thing, sounds great, lot of unqiue features, and I'm pretty sure you could drop a nuke on it and it wouldn't even dent it, have a completely unnecessary previosu owner endorsment bump
9.
Thanks Bob, I have an active bass so I can chalk this one off. The search continues....
I'd seriously reccomend the mastotron, I've never played a b:assmaster so I can't really compare them, but the mastotron can do pretty much any sound, with the impedance blend it loves my active, and it's an mxr size box
10.
Hey Bob, how do you find the Cherry Pop? I've been looking out for small fuzzes to potentially replace my Assmaster- (pure real estate decision) and this could be what I'm after.
It's probably not for everyone, it's a very aggressive biting fuzz, low end response is absolutely superb, I think devi does market it as a bass fuzz now, it really hates actives though, which is why I got the mastotron, but I love the cherry pop and it has it's own unique sound, there'll always be space for it on my board, i'd definitley check out the rest of devi's stuff, there's something for every fuzz taste
11. Still no actual board, but this summer there WILL be, I'll make one if it kills me Crappy camera phone pic: The green stache and the cool-cat will be leaving (someone PLEASE buy them......) I was a little wary of letting the cool cat go, but the detune modes on the wh-4 I got to replace my dead xp-100 are perfect for my limited chorusing needs The rather functional looking grey box is a custom feedback looper made by Umph (Mammoth sound audio) I'm very happy with it, I'd definitley reccomend them
12. What goes bump in the night? This thread Right, some stuff has come up so I'm now definitley not looking to trade, sorry folks, I need cash more than phasers right now, it's exam time, which means heavy drinking when it's over
13. Interested in a cool cat for the phaser or the flanger?
14. More brazen bumpage, I've just dropped a lot of money on a new whammy so not really looking for trades anymore, but still hit me up with offers for phasers/trems, I'd definitley go for a phase 90
15. Bought a drum machine off him, great to deal with, packed brilliantly, took me 5 minutes to get into the thing, I've never seen so much bubble wrap Great trasnaction, cheers
16. Shameless bumpage, I haven't put the cool-cat on eBay yet, and I probably won't, so it'll be here till it's gone Now I've finally declared my xp-100 beyond revival I'm also interested in trades for a whammy, XP-100 or wh-4
17.
Maplins to the rescue - Yay! These are good for making up pedal board cables: http://www.maplin.co.uk/module.aspx?TabID=...O&U=Strat15
That looks like just the thing, any idea what gauge lead it takes or will it take any? Also, is George L's cable just regular cable that I'd be able to strip down and solder into those or is it specially designed for the connectors, and if it isn't, any reccomendations on decent cabling I could get?
18.
I'd love to hear some clips if you've got the time.
Patience grasshopper... I'll get some up before friday, probably as a youtube video so you can see the settings and it's easier to upload Any songs/settings anyone really wants to hear?
19. Bought his OC-2 off him, great communication, great packaging, great to buy from
20. I seem to be buying and selling a scary amount of stuff on here these days, so figured it was about time I actually made one of these Comments, praises, criticisms, death threats, you know the drill
21.
hey, if it doesn't sell, i'll buy the stache back. I'd buy it straight back, but i dont get paid till the 28th, The pedal i got to replace the stache also sounds great, but is more than double the size, and the stache'll go perfect on my mini-board
Hey Theo, if it hasn't gone by monday (25'th) I'll put it on hold for you
You you be interested in a EHX English Muff'n for the Cool Cat and some money?
Sorry, for the first time ever I'm actually happy with my dirt/gain setup, won't need another one for a while
22. you're in luck my friend, this song was a staple of the setlist in my covers band.... At the time I managed to do it pretty well with a russian big muff and a crybaby bass wah, drive and wah are the basics, but if I was doing it now, I'd use my bad monkey (tube sounding overdrive), as it sounds like a cranked tube amp on the record, fuzz is probably too full on and you'll lose the regular bass tone, which is a major part of the sound, you can hear the rubbery thump of his P bass, if you haven't got a P bass (like I didn't) some flatwound strings will probably give you a good impression.
23. Shameless "I've just ordered a custom pedal and now need money for more custom pedals" bump, also price drop on cool cat to £35 posted Quick edit: I've decided the cool cat will be going on evilBay on Wednesday if there's no joy here, the Green Stache however I will not put on evilBay, as it's something of a rarity on these shores I'd like to know it's going to a decent home, still definitely interested in tremolo/phaser/vibe trades, probably leaning more towards a trem though
