1. Right, due to lots of confusion, incompetent admin staff, strange business policies, and probably some alcohol, I have a brand new, completely unopened Mapex T250A drum throne sitting in my cupboard, and another, unboxed assembled one sitting at my parents house in york, So I'm looking to get shot of the spare It's boxed and covered in tape, and i can't get any pictures of the other one, but this is what it looks like : The Seat's 12" diameter, very nice foam, vinyl covered, proper size, tripod legs. Unfortunately it's quite big and bulky, so shipping's gonna be pricey, I'm after £30 shipped, any interest PM me
2. Tentative PM'ed
3. bassist who can do wrong? Mark Hoppus because we expect so little, surely he can't get any worse?
4. Definitley depends on the music, my delay and whammy are never leaving my board (when i get a board, at the moment they're never leaving my floor) but most players don't need a whammy, for my music (weird noise/post/experimental/dance/stoner/doom/space/rock/metal/punk....even i dont know what the hell i play) the big 4 are: Whammy, delay, overdrive/fuzz (lets just say dirt), and my feedback looper if it counts When i say delay is never leaving my board, i mean my dd-20 is never leaving my board, to be honest i can't remember the last time i used it for straight delay, but i use it for soundscapes, and weird effects, and i love it to bits, i probably wouldn't use a bog standard delay The big 4 i think all effects players should have: od/fuzz (dirt), chorus, compression, some kind of filter/wah, mainly cos they're all straight effects that can be worked into a regular line and still sound good, not make the effect the focus (like delay or whammy), just compliment the sound
5. the intro, and most of forty six and 2 has a flangery/phasery/chorus/general shimmery effect http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Tja6_h4lT6A
6. Sold, pending usual
7. Hey, got a Behringer limiter I'm not using, I'm not gigging atm so I'm not using an amp much so it's just gathering dust. I know i'ts not worth a whole lot, but every little helps (hope tesco don't sue me) It's in great condition, does exactly what it's sposed to, only weakness is the behringer plastic construction, but a limiter is the kind of thing you put on and leave on, so i reckon this will last while. Crappy camera phone pic: Yours for £12 Posted, need the cash for this pretty quick, so it'll be on evilBay on wednesday if no joy here
8. It's now on evilBay: http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vie...em=260361749928
9. I've got a behringer limiter that's suprisingly good, it does what it's supposed to. I'm not really using it though, I don't play slap or use filters that much, so it's sitting unused most of the time, you can have it for £12 posted if you want.
10. Really need the cash for this, one more day and it's going on evilBay
11.
That looks pretty good - add £2 for a mains lead though. Does it come with the daisy chain?
Unfortunately it doesn't come with a daisychain, they sell them for £2.50, but to be honest i'd get something better, it's the one gripe i have with it, the connectors don't flex very well, which gets very very annoying if you have pedals with the power jack on the side, and there isn't a lot of wire between them,, but the actualy supply is fantastic
12. I've got one of these and it's brilliant, from what i've heard it's essentially the same as the diago. It'll power 1.5amps with no hum, which is at least a dozen regular pedals, but the daisy chain lead is only boss type 9v, so they won't power eveything
13. Shameless bump as i I've got a synth wah on hold waiting for this to sell
14. Hey, I've got an SB7, just bought off Dosi'Y'Anarchy a couple of weeks ago. It's a great pedal, but I wanna try a synth wah, broaden my horizons so to speak Crappy camera phone pic: It's in very good condition, the switch is slightly tempramental, not always engaging the effect, but apparently this is a known probelm with all pedals of this series, and it's only done it once in 2 weeks. Don't have the original box, or manual, but you can get the manual online if you want it I bought for £30 posted not 2 weeks ago, so it's yours for the same, PM me if interested
15. you sir, have PM
16.
(how exactly do you spell cry-seas??)
crises well, that's my contribution for the day
17. You sir, have pm
18. That's odd, one of the things i love about my devi ever cherry pop is that it's noise free. It's very high gain , and it's very noisy and sensitive when actually playing, but with no signal going in it's silent. If you turn the bass volume down all the way and there is still noise, then it's definitley the pedal, and compression or gating probably won't help, it's just a noisy circuit. If it's completely quiet with no signal going in then it's just high gain/very sensitive, and gating or compression will probably help, but you could try other things like turning the gain down and boosting the signal with a pedal later in the chain

20. pretty much every queens of the stone age and kyuss song
21. edit: I had a brainwave last night, I've already broken my lightshade, so my damage deposit is gone, which means the carpet covered notice board screwed to my wall is effectively mine.......I've still got to cut it down to size and put some extra wood on so it's at a good angle, but it works pretty well. I also went crazy with some paint tester pots and painted my homemade feedback looper (the russian muff enclosure), I may have also been slightly drunk at the time and decided to decorate my wah pedal too.......Anywho, it seemed a little pointless to post a new pic just one post later, so i just edited this one And the " I think it should be compulsory too" nightshot
22. Finally got round to building it, it works pretty well, doesn't seem to like my chorus though, at really low feedback the signal just gets buried under a weird muffled phaser swirl kinda sound, and anything higher it just buzzes really REALLY loudly, same with my whammy. But it does like my od and fuzz, i spent the better part of today fiddling with them, still havent figured out exactly how they behave in a feedback loop, but it does exactly what i want: making really weird noises. With my delay set to a kind of stuttery tremolo, and a simple turn of the gain knob i can turn my bad monkey into a better sounding dirty synth apprgeiator than a lot of actual keyboard synths i've used. Now i just need some paint to repaint my big muff enclosure with a hilariously witty design, I'll post a picture of it with the rest of my pedals in the pedalboard porn thread as soon as my newly acquired sb7 arrives (can't wait to put that in the loop eitheir). Thanks for the help
23. http://www.rapidonline.com/Electronic-Comp...50k%20log%20pot The 50k log likes the fella, but you'll need to check the otherside to see how the pins mount onto the pcb, and check the measurements against yours, just to be sure.
24.
I reckon this should do it using only a spdt switch. In 'bypass' mode the signal goes direct from input to send and direct from return to output jack. When loop is switched on, the return signal can be fed back into the send jack via the pot. hence this gives you the loop with no need for the true bypass switch - after all, the effects boxes themselves have an off switch you can use if you don't want the sound in the loop.
Cheers, that's just what i was after, i've already got the stuff, i'll give it a go now. Nothing like a little late night soldering.
