2.
I really quite like that - did you add the fret lines yourself? (Not sure I've seen a lined one before)
No..I had a luthier do it for me....I made the wooden control plate..and refinished it.
 3.
Here's another thread about another great fretless: http://basschat.co.uk/topic/262540-wishbass-makeover/page__p__2779898__hl__wishbass__fromsearch__1#entry2779898
Thanks Mr Grangur!
 4.
That's a curveball! Got any pics?
See Grangurs link on this thread.

 6. Price drop £500 straight sale. £600 trade value.
 7. WOW!..always wanted one of these..they sound brilliant...just beautiful.
 8.
The album is available from May1st but you can pre-order here: https://thoofa.bandcamp.com/releases
Thanks..just pre ordered.
 9. Love it. Where can I buy the album?
 10. Easiest and best way I've found is to use naphtha.....lighter fuel. Put a few drops on a clean cloth ..loosen strings a little, and wipe each string along the entire length by pinching each string with the cloth and wiping lengthwise...a few wipes and the strings are squeaky clean.
 11.
So I'm building a new bass. I'm looking for a jazz and a musicman pickup in white or cream. The jazz is easy enough as there's loads of replacement covers available, but does anyone know of a company who make great jazz and humbuckers in white or cream? Thx
How about DiMarzio?
 12.
I've got one of those. It was my 1st bass. Needs a bit of TLC, but I'm working on it. I've also defretted it. Still have the original hardware & pick ups too.
Great basses imho.
 13.
I've always wanted to use that!
Ha ha..pics now up in the " Bass Guitars" part of the forum.
 14.
I love the way dual split P pickups look on a bass, but what are the tonal advantages/differences of having a split P at the bridge? Not exactly the most common set up so haven't ever played one and interested to see what people think of it
Hi, I have a vox standard bass with a Di Marzio P pick up near the bridge...sounds great..quite similar in many ways to a J type in the same position.
 15.
Lovely! Out of curiosity what's the neck like on these? Whats the nut width?.
I'll put it through its paces tomorrow..will let you know.
 16.
That's very nice Raj.
Thanks man.

 19.
Lovely. That would look very nice next to my '79 Mockingbird.
I bet it would.
 20.
That is very special! No wonder you were tearing your hair out, you aren't going to find many of them around! Well done
Thanks.
