1. I can't see any pictures of this baby..............?
2. Oh, my days..............!!!! Sounds like a bomb........... I love that. GLWTS
3. Congratulations on the divorce........... Sincerely. Noboidy ever congratulates people on that when really, it's a celebration.
4. God bless you guys.............
5. Thanks Dan............ So, I'm choosing an area of Mid Freq that my ear likes and then cutting or boosting it? Apologies in advance............
6. If my Sandberg sells I should come over and have a sound test. I'm in Swindon
7. Evening all, This may sound like a gormless thread but bear with me. The parametric eq on my Shuttle 6.2 has a Mid and a Mid Freq knob. The Mid runs between -15 and +15 and the Mid Freq runs between 150Hz and 2KHz. This surely means I can only be at one frequency at a time, right? I've been reading that 400Hz is warmth, 800Hz is a growly & 2KHz is clanky and defined. How can I have a bit of all of that? Am I missing something here? Are these parmaetric eq's crap? I feel gas.........
8.
Nice. Sandberg's are fantastic quality.
You're not wrong Gabriel, cheers. If only more people knew.
9. Hello everyone. For Sale or Trade: £999 My Sandberg is up for grabs. I'm not a gigging bassist these days....... This is a gigging bass. I have 6 basses and the Duchess is getting a bit twitchy! Super versatile. Lovely passive mode too. 2 band Glockenlang preamp. Delano jazz and humbucker PUPs. Split PUP function. Active/passive option. 6 bolt neck. 9 llbs. Zero fret. Amazing bridge. Never gigged. Sandberg gig bag never used. Still has the free cap in it. I've worn the pants though! This is a wicked bass but I'm heading down a slippery vintage slope at the moment and it just ain't getting played. I'm also gassing like mad for cabs & amps! I'm after the Vanderkley 210 and 112....... Happy to courier with buyers preference or could meet up half way, or could even deliver personally if you're close enough. Feel free to come over and have a play. Bring your own amp or just plug in here. No worries. Cheers,
10.
Hi Chewie, I've just picked up an AG500 which I've long wanted, at a great price,so it's really just for a change. I've loved the Tecamp and would def recommend to anyone, Thomas Eich really knows how to engineer maximum performance from his kit. This is super light, so it's not down to the weight and sound is subjective. The Tecamp has a 'taste' knob which goes from modern scooped hifi at one end to warmer vintage lo mid punch at the other, flat in the middle, so can cover all bases. Hope this helps!
Thanks dude...... I must go somewhere and test a load of amps........... GLWTS
11.
Keep your amp and replace the cabs. I use my gigging amps (TH500 and AG700) and a BF One10. That's about the size of one of our cushions.
That is a good shout.........
12.
My 'home' rig is an Ashdown Rootmaster 800 & Barefaced Super Compact, which is (unsurprisingly!) fairly compact, but loud enough to double as my small venue gig rig.
Thanks Dave, I've been thinking about a Barefaced option. Ampwise, I want something warm with character..... Thought about Aguilar.... I'll have a look out for you gigging.... I'm only in Swindon........ Chewie
13. Good morning honourable BC'ers, I barely jam with anybody anymore, never mind gig. I'm a dedicated noodler and lover of the instrument these days. I have a Genz Benz Shuttle 6.2 and their Focus 115 & 210 in my front room!!!! The room is 17ft square..... ish.... with a bay window, the floor is floorboards and there's a void beneath of about two foot. I'm going to upgrade my rig but down size it to the room...... I think if I can get a smaller set up, I can stretch the amp more and create better tones for the room and my humble ears. What do you guys think? Do you have a dream set up to noodle with at home? Please share your wisdom with me. I play mostly passive vintage instruments, and a beloved Stingray. Regards and respect, Chewie
14. I think you should sit down and play. Maybe find a nice chair you could take on stage...... basses don't weigh anything sitting down. Kindest regards,
15. Hey Graham, Out of interest, how comes your moving to Aguilar? Is it purely tone or weight of hardware? I ask as I'm GASSING about Aguilar too. Kind regards, I love the Xotic.......
16. Hello Brighton............! Just about to PM you...........!
17. Man, I wish I lived closer so I could sample the sound............. You're not ever in the Swindon area?
18. Hello 40hz, I'm in Swindon and could get up to you this week for a little play. When is convenient for you?
19.
I don't know anyone in that neck of the woods, sorry. Check out the pinned post about BC'ers willing to help out.
I've just found it............! LOL
