Use the Search facility and you will find this and this and even this. Fair play to Alex for answering the same questions over and over again.
3. Better
4. Programmable Sansamp BDDI might do the job though some dont like the midrange.
5. EBS did one but thats discontinued. Peavey did 2; 1820 and 1516 - am sure you can work it out.

Power

Well if you want something lighter thats a different matter and TBH thats why I changed my HD350 for a GenzBenz Shuttle. Now the heaviest thing I have is the box with all the leads in!

Power

In a word; no
8.
Red basses are not the fastest. The silver and black ones are. But the musicians union is doing its best to put penalties on the silver and black ones players so the red ones look faster.
Still getting lots of earnest replies to the pointless questions. Irony is truely lost
9. Top 4 are all dead!
10. Like he says - should have gone to specsavers. Some Boots stores have hearing centres as well. You should expect to make an appointment like anything else. I think if you are looking for monitors to go in the ER plugs you need to look at the monitor sites not the plugs site, as I expect there are more than one monitor that fits, and they are not paying ER to recommend them Cynical me
11. At least you realise they are pointless, unlike many who post the same questions with all sincerity. Witness the thread on scale length.
12. At least it has a proper bridge !
13. Tony Levin has a 3 string music man for when he is using the funk fingers

I wondered if JP would be there as a long time user of Manson's basses. Bet Bernie would have loved to sell him a GB
15.
John, when I contacted you to ask what's up between you and Ian and about your baiiting you did say that you would add Ian to your ignore list and leave it. As you haven't I'm upping your warnng level. Please, if you have a problem contact Ian privately from now on and not air your personal grievances publically.
I am ignoring ian. I was responding to other posts. My lips are sealed.
16. Likewise brass nuts were popular at one time to make open strings sound more like fretted notes.
17.
And it ain't just the bass cellar. Chandlers in Richmond about 5 years ago: Me: I'm looking for a small amp to crank up. Salesman: You should try a power attenuator. Me: But I want a small amp. Salesman: Yeah, yeah, but have you tried a power attenuator? Me: Yes - I bought a Marshall Powerbrake. Salesman. Huh! Why d'you buy one of those? Everybody knows they're totally useless. (Calls out to other assistant : "Hey, he's got a Powerbrake!" - Cue joint sniggering) So, who sold you that, then? Me: You did, in here 3 years ago.
18. £500 is a lot of dosh to spend on something you dont know the value of I am not an expert on ampeg so will leave the valuation to others. Its also not a cuurent model so a lot more info and photo's would help.
19. Yeah. The problem with reviews is that they are somebody else's opinion. Any lots of reviewers, either in magazines where the product under review is advertised, or on forums where they have just ponied up their own money for something, are reluctant to say something is a pile of poopenhausen! Big up for you for being honest and not just sneaking it in "for sale"
20. Never mind. The old adage "try before you buy" applies to compressors as well.
21.
Too right. I always get love from the places I shop

so by his words hendrix should never have played guitar, paul mc should never have played bass. prat

i was refering to the comment on left handers not being made !!!!!!!!
Ah - quoted the wrong post. Easy done Hendrix did actually play right hand guitars left handed. And Macca used the Hofner fiddle bass so it would not look odd upside down. Lots of left handers play right handed instruments to save themselves a lifetime of problems finding the right instruments. Especially piano players
22. Lots of compressor choices available. I use the EBS.
23.
the rosewood neck ruins it for me, but iv always hated black/brown combinations. if that had an ebony board (or a phenolic board with carbon neck ) it would luck stunning. and bongo's are brilliant instruments
Cant help but agree. If only EBMM offered Status necks as an option
24. Currently using the DT10 but thats a great demo of the Pitchblack ROFL more pedal board friendly if you have pedals with side jacks
