1.
I think I've said this before, but the bass is not a guitar. It's closest relative is the double bass. Leo Fender designed the electric bass to be a more portable alternative for double bass players. The 'guitar' like shape is just there for convenience Perhaps the bass should have it's own programme? But then again the numpties that know nothing would probably say, "It's another bloody guitar programme!" I give in!
Portable; and precise
2. Horses for courses. I just dont expect happy EBS owners to did their MBII's to buy this - I defo wont be. Of course I am ignoring the mass hysteria that often surrounds stuff on this forum as well as the world at large.
3. Looks nice. The EBS does a lot more though. Guess it comes down to which sounds best and that will likely be a matter of opinion.
4.
Dont Warwick do a wibbly wobbly assymetric too?
Not for four hundred quid
5. Dont understand the sh*tty bridge on those fretkings. Dean and Vintage do some cheap TB ish basses.
6.
Not being funny but you are talking sh*t. If you are saying you need to adjust something like this every two hours?

Yep, every few hours as in 3+. Maybe I'll just get another 1 as mine does slacken off bit by bit after repeated pushing against it bending the neck etc.. Cheers
Well I hope you are getting paid enough for 3+ hour sets - in which case you can afford a new strap for each set. Either that or find a custom leatherworker to make a really thick strap with no adjustment. Just dont pull the strap pins out with all that bending.
7.
Levys do more than the one strap
Yes - thats why I posted a link to a specific strap
But yeah you'll need to be being seriously rough to get it to move in the slightest, if at all.
And given that the adjustment cant move then it must be stretching................
8. Not being funny but you are talking sh*t. If you are saying you need to adjust something like this every two hours?
9. Straps that are adjusted by re-threading the thin bit through holes in the big bit wont move. Straps with buckle pins wont move. Dont know what you are using?
10. Nothing wrong with black fretless
11. Another two options you have got are: Not show the neck laminates of the tru neck by having the facings over the complete front and not just the wings. Stain the body part of the neck to give a contrast to the maple fingerboard.
12. Just cos a bass has lots of knobs you dont have to play with them (difficult not to play with your knob I know )- but like others have said the money you are spending you should be able to get what you want - you should not have to compromise when spending 1.5K. Thats what my Spitfire based GB P bass cost and its only got 3 knobs. If you had it passive with no knobs it would be even cheaper. If you want P bass vibe with a chunky neck ala Warwick then look at the Sandberg P style basses or if you want a thinner neck look at the Lakland P based guitars.
13. The old one
14. I had that spot once
15. Diago sell it.
16. Its your bass - if you want maple have maple.
17. If you want lightweight there are loads of other options besides Epifani, EBS, GenzBenz, Dr Bass, Zoot, Tech - I could go on. If you are using flats I would be tempted to get something with a mid range driver like a Dr Bass 2460 or dispense with the tweeter altogether and get one of Alex Clabers big ones.
18.
That for me is the killer punch; not only is it a featherweight but you can walk through a doorway without turning sideways... and no scrapped knuckles. Ah bliss.
Thats a real bonus. I only sold my EBS Neo212 cos I could not get through doors without twisting and f***ing my back up - not ideal preparation for a gig
19.
+1, duracell all the way. I've never needed spare strings before though and i don't think i ever will in all honesty...
I have only broken 1 string in 28 years - but I did have a spare
20.
thanks for that suppose i should carry a spare battery with me
If you are gigging you should carry lots of spares; strings and fuses for starters. I always change my batteries once a year whether they need it or not.
21. Yeah - just kidding myself really. Except I would get a Buzzard, or B2 as it is now called, if one was going cheap enough or I won the lottery.
22. I like the Hipshot A myself. Depends on whether it needs to be a direct replacement without drilling new holes mind.
23.
It won't matter to some, if MK has one, they have to one. Nonetheless, I wonder if it sounds greatly different to the original KB.
Never understood why
24. Why would you want to do that? Most active basses only have a passive option to allow for battery death mid gig.
