Pedaltrains?

A quick scan of google will reveal you speak the truth cos I was only looking myself this very afternoon. Quick bit of metric to imperial.
3. As you may have gathered from the useless replies you have received so far - its up to you to decide when to change them. If they sound too dull for your liking, or the intonation is off cos they have flatted over the frets (look at the underside of the strings where they touch the frets), change them. If not, dont bother.
4. This should do the job.
5. Reason for amp having effects loops? As a totally wild guess, so you can use rack mounted effects. I dont use effects but if you have a hot signal it might be best to use the compressor first (if its a have it on all the time kind of thing) to avoid overdriving the input on the others.
6. You should be able to get 2 1x12's in the boot of a corsa. I have listed lots in the basschat wiki with links to all the relevant websites. My only other advice would be to try as many as you can. Any decent 3x10 or 2x12 should be able to compete with 2 thin stringers.
7. Dont forget that what you hear on record or live is normally DI'd, but may sometimes be mic'ed as well. Its highly unlikely to be just mic'ed.
8.
Visceral root-ists of the world unite! Is this some sort of horrid stinky fusion jazz rock with surly little augmented chords - usually a sign the band's about to break up. 1) If it's in 4/4, only play on the 1 and the 3, rather than the usual 2 and 4, but let the note ring across the evens... 2) Play either half as many (or twice as many notes) as you were playing before 3) Wait till rehearsal when, using your fretting hand only, pedal one hideously clashing note all the way through, while pointedly reading a very long classic novel such as Don Quixote. Then nut him.
9.
To be a big sister to my Spitfire. What am I looking at, ball park money? dont want any frills, no leds or tuner or metronome stuff just a classy looking maple necked fiver. Give me a clue as to cost please....
Why dont you ask Bernie?
10.
Depends on wether you are happy to drill new holes. A quick trawl round a few guitar parts websites should tell you what is a direct replacement and what needs new holes. I know the Hipshot does not fit the fender 5 holes.

Not so my freind , Hippy do a drop on replacment if you dont fancy plugging and re drilling..... check thier webby....
I stand corrected.

12. Lots of threads on flats and a bit on the basschat wiki. Try using the search.
13. I think there are quite a few threads on straps. Have you tried the Search?
14. Absolutely. Mark King stopped using GB's cos Bernie would not give him a handful of Rumours. Good call by Bernie? How many King basses have Status sold?
15. What he said. They are good strings too - I use them on my headed basses.
16.
Well the limiter light wasn't flashing and I've run it above 2/3rds before, usually it has the effect of making whatever speakers I'm plugged into start crapping out. In this case it was clean as anything but no increase in loudness. I have the preamp gain fairly low (always below 12 o'clock) to avoid any overdrive and so that only my loudest notes feather the built-in compressor. You have the non-neo Zoot cabs, don't you? I wonder how much different to mine they sound.
I'm not familiar with your amp so cant comment on the accuracy or otherwise of the limiter light. BUt if it goes no louder then it must be putting out its maximum output. There is an article on the basschat wiki that explains it all. I have got GenzBenz Neo cabs like this
17. I am sure Mark at Bass Direct will be happy to get you one.
18. Once an amp has hit its maximum output or the limiter if one is fitted, it wont get any louder irrespective of the settings of the knobs.
19. Agree. Bet the response would have been different if tBBC had told him to f*** off - or me come to that.
20. Well the EBS does a bit more than the sansamp in having two channels, a speaker sim on the DI and a parametric mid. Both have a valve drive emulator and the EBS has an additional tube sim. Its a bit like the bastard child of the BDDI and PDDI and the programmable BDDI. I think every bass chatter that has used both has gone for the EBS.

22. From the tone of the OP I thought he had been f***ed about. It does happen occasionally. Never mind.
23. If I could afford it I would get the Godlyke thats for sale on here.
