1. Guildford area is good as accessible from the coast, M25 and London. Probably the best place for the most people. Cant comment on the room last time as could not make it and cant make 30/31 August this year either.
2.
Game on. Will the Shuttles be here by then for me to try?
I do hope so!
3. Nice paint
4. And bang goes your warranty. Have you asked St Bernard? You may be pleasantly surprised.
5.
Thos IMHO were some of the best instruments ever made
Quite agree. Unfortunately also one of the heaviest. Still wish I kept mine.
6. You cant have your cake and eat it. You either set the bass up for tuning down 3 semitones or for standard tuning. Alternatively use the bottom 4 of a 5 string set, get a 5 string or do what I do and have basses with standard and detuned - I go to D. Sounds like a perfect excuse for indulging in some GAS.
7. I recon your neck was made from the same bit of wood as mine.
8. Afternoon and welcome. This place sure is no cure for GAS
9. Who cares! I spent loads on my GB's and I am happy. Whats to say somebody wont spend a fraction of that on VM's or SX's and be just as happy.
10. Waste of wood and strings. I've never got this ERB lark - get a stick!
11. When I started I spend loads of money doing up a cheap bass and all I had at the end was a cheap bass. I really do think that by the time you have pimped a Squire VM or a MIM you might as well get a MIA and save yourself a lot of money and bovver. Its OK pimping a cheap bass if its a keeper, but if you sell on the pimping is not worth a lot.
12. Sex on a P! And welcome.

hi

welcome
14. And the EBS Microbass
15. every warwick I have played had a fat neck apart from an older early 90's one.
16. And they think 115 lbs is light weight!
17. There was a big old thread on this back on Bass World and it contradicted all the claims about excellent customer service, even though the emails did come from Phil Jones. A lot of people were surprised that he could be so rude to a customer.
18. Not really the same thing as half rounds are ground smooth and elixirs are coated with gore-tex.
19. You can get rack cases where the rack has some sort of suspension. But yes, hifi buffs can go to great lengths to isolate electronics and speakers but that has gone to rat sh*t with the advent of surround sound and centre speakers that live on the same racks.
20. And welcome to BassChat.
21. There are a few members around Horsham, but being able to play and being able to teach are different things. You may find ads for lessons if you look in the music shop.
22. Just unlucky I recon - never had a problem and used them for years.
23. could be a duff string - try another. If you did not get it with the old strings was that because they were all dead so the dead spot was not noticed?
24. Very clean but to my ears absolutely f***ing awful with no musical value. Takes all kinds I guess.
