Yes I've had the red one for a while. I didn't want a fretted Spitfire but something a little different. Its a mystery how Bernie decides to use what wood for which neck. The neck on the black one is quite plain. Yes Bernie still has the one with Jazz pups.
Dont waste your money on any more Behringer. Look at the for sale's on here.
I know its cool to put your location as "my mini room" but it does not tell anyone that might be local.
What did you expect when you buy a headless bass?
As a random guess, I would think that Status strings would be best for your Status bass. I have been using them for years and never had a problem.
Stings bass is a real one - a 1953 precision bass. He has a thing about vintage instruments and now detests new ones. His sig bass is a copy. He was using the Spector on Synchronicity tour so I guess he stopped using the Musician one they becaume superstars and he could have any bass he wanted. I think they (Ibanez Musician) are fabulous basses but f*** me are they heavy.

Whats wrong with the Hipshots?
Does anybody know if specsavers take the moulds as part of the total price?
I expect they do. Would you accept a nominal fee for taking the moulds instead of trousering a hefty profit for the full monty?
So, I'm definitely going to try to be at the one in Northampton which should be fine provided there's nothing absolutely unmoveable in the family/work diary. Perhaps some of us south coast Basschatters could travel up together?? I can get a bus for £55 per day + petrol that seats 10 people and would still have plenty of room for gear, if anyone's interested..

Sounds like a cunning plan.
We need a bass bash in Bristol. Thats where 99% of the board members come from anyway!
Well organise one then. We had a successful London and South East bash last year even though I missed it
Just seen you are getting an Epifani... it's still costing!
GB's love EBS so its probably gonna cost more. Your neck was made using the same bit of wood as mine and it is all gone now.
I use mine all the time and have already started building some mojo. At the end of the day it is a bass to be played. If you are gonna get precious about it then you will probably end up not using it at all.
and in some extreme cases (solid state only) I've switched the amp on 'then' inserted the speaker cable, which is already plugged into the cab.
Cant imagine why this would be necessary and in a lot of cases will destroy the amp.
Do you know where I can get 5-string fretted Wal bass?
Buy this one and put the frets back in.
Absolutely. I play a lot of rock and i can never find a place for the fretless sound. But I know as soon as it's sold, i'll suddenly have something that needs a fretlless.....But i can't justify having a Wal just sitting in a case.
Boz Burrell?
PS - if you aren't going to go for the exotic woods and looking to bring costs down, I saw a Rumour that has recently been sent out to Holland. Completely black and it look magic (nice touch that he replaced the red flashing light on the preamp with a blue one...)
I've got a blue one as well - matches my blue LED's.
