1. The Corelli are lot lower tension than the hybrid mediums. Pretty different strings. See what your teacher recommends.
2. I've used both and they are both great strings. I really like the hybrid light gage. The Corellis are also a great hybrid with a better arco response. I'm selling a set of the Corelli if you go down that route. http://basschat.co.uk/topic/174004-string-sale-evah-weich-corelli-spiro-helicore-hybrid-lights/#entry1621859
3. Bump for a great bass, great playing and a great deal.
4. Jamie bought some bass strings from me and the transaction was completely easy and hassle free.
5. I can't imagine having a better career or bringing as much joy so as many people as Donald Duck Dunn. RIP Check out this great 2 minute Dunn history. http://m.youtube.com/?reload=7&rdm=m3nv5b6j4#/watch?desktop_uri=%2Fwatch%3Fv%3DCKGPrS1zi-Q%26sns%3Dfb&sns=fb&v=CKGPrS1zi-Q&gl=GB
6. NEW PRICE DROP £950. I'm told that a new mo Clifton is now £2100. Get a bargain at £950!
7. Im pretty sure it was. What an incredible band! Beautiful song, loved the feel. ...& a kolstein, what more could you want!
8.
Great looking bass. Nice big fish too.
+1 :-)
9. Could it be down to the extra tension? I've never noticed it. I always play 5ers but do love it when I get a chance to play a 4. They sometimes seem easier play than a 5er, but I've not heard any change in sound on my e.
10.
Indeed, though they had quite a few years of constant gigging under their belts by the time of this concert. It would be interesting to know where they were on the '10,000' hours spectrum. The minimal set-up is amazing though. No wonder they gave up touring within a few years because nobody in the audience could hear anything. Surely decent PA systems were available back then?
I read somewhere that all the giging the did before they broke in the states was approximately 10000 hours. They were used as another example if the 'rule'.
11. Bump for a great bass. I'm not usually a big Warwick fan, but this is a real classic!
12. "You would also be responsible for the building up/packing down of the band stand and the equipment within it. Also we ask that you help with publicity for the show in the mornings. " .... This might make it a bit less fun. :-)
13.
Platinum pro is fab, never used the other but if it doesn't have phase cancellation it would be a far inferior buy in my view.
+1 one. Ive tried both and much prefer the platinum. Great sounding pre. The other didn't seem to really add anything.
14. Bump for the Spirocore and Corelli which have both had very little use.
15. Wicked transcription mate! Must have taken ages. Superb piece.
16. Wow! That's a great deal!
17. Although its only from 2010 the seller has great feedback. It looks like its actually going to sell. Someone's going to be disappointed.
18.
Getting a bit confused Geoff Bass Direct is Mark's business whilst BassGear is Phil's
....it seems I was pretty confused! :-) I ment Bassgear but I've heard great stuff about Bassdirect.
19.
well, Ive reported it. May save some poor sod from being fleeced.
Good work. It's such a shame there are so many sharks out there.
20.
I'll have the DPA. PM'd
Great buy. You have to be quick on the draw round here!
21. If I'm on upright my most common request is to turn the bass down in the front of house. It's often the same with the bass drum as they are generally more used to rock/pop bands and not so much jazz/big band/shows etc. I also occasionally use a high pass filter pre di if necessary. Most discussion regards monitoring which is my main priority. Anything front of house is their job so i just let them get on with it and keep my fingers crossed. It's always great when you have a sound engineer who knows how to get a fantastic sound.
