Thanks mate. Unfortunately no I have always steered away from the coloured Warwicks as I prefer the natural colour of the wood so I'm unable to help. I'm sure Marco or another member here may be able to help or failing that if you email Warwick or post a thread on the Warwick website I'm sure you will get the details you need.

Thanks. I'm not a pro like yourself so I was really proud of the Thumb re finish but they all were fun to work on in their own way. Btw, that shot of the frets above was just to give you an idea of how good they can look just using the wire wool I mentioned earlier. I'm not sure there is such a thing as a Thumb NT with a broadneck unless it is a custom option. I always wanted one of them myself as I love the broadneck 1990 Streamer Stage 1 that I have. I also refinished the Stage 1 so here's a quick pic

Glad you liked it. That is a song by one of my fav bands and so I was just interested in watching him do a regular cover of the song but then he just took it to another level and made it his own! Combine his incredible playing and the tone from the DB Thumb and you're in heaven! Mate your Infinity is absolutely stunning just the way it is! You just need to adjust to it fully and then the GAS will slowly subside... That s what I keep telling myself lol

Hello again and thank you for the info. I have used Danish oil myself in a similar process to how you use Teak oil, to refinish a bass before and loved the result - see here: But for Warwicks and because I am all about the detail i make sure i always use the Warwick wax to refinish the body and neck. I had to try a few different methods to make sure it was being applied melted as they do in the factory but now I am happy I am getting the best results and will post a few pics shortly. Your tip on the pickups is very interesting, I have never heard of this before and I will be sure to try it next time thank you! I don't have anywhere inside to work on my guitars other than my kitchen so any sanding has to wait until nicer weather so I can do it in my garden lol. Which 3M sanding blocks to you use? I found some 3M sanding pads(very thin blocks) recently and they are incredible! So much better than sandpaper especially for curvy and contoured bodies like Warwicks!!!

I bet it doesn't. The Studio models weighed a ton but the Musician models, AFAIK, are more user friendly. I had the MC824 which is a passive model like this except a PJ configuration and it was fine weight wise. I've never seen one exactly like this Before!

I enjoyed watching your refin video, it was very interesting to compare your methods to my own. Did you use oil to finish it or the melted beeswax as Warwick do? Also, have you tried using good quality wire wool before? For polishing the frets and cleaning the fretboard I much prefer a 00 grade wire wool to any solvent as i find the solvent can easily get on to the fretboard which is obviously not desirable. Wish i had your buffer thats for sure!!!

btw, sadly not mine, but this is probably the best looking thumb i have ever seen!

Double sided tape or glue. Anything that wouldn't leave bloody holes in the thing should you want to remove it at a later date!

Thanks for the info. I like the finger puppet approach as it makes them look less serious though I'm not sure the manufacturers would appreciate it as much given they have probably spent a while trying to get the bass to balance perfectly before you go and ruin it lol. I'm going to have to Google Roland GK system...

This is exactly what it is. Check photo 8 of 10 and zoom in to where the light is reflecting near middle of the edge of the body. You can clearly see the grain from the ash continue into the mahogany stain.

there you go, you're getting it! 🤣 seriously though, I apologise if my previous post sounded patronising - that wasnt my intent. ive often made the mistake of writing a sarcastic or fascectious remark on this forum only for it to be taken the wrong way because I didnt put a "lol", "haha" or emoji in the post so when I say this I say it because I have learnt the hard way myself. Not everyone will take the time to proof read or use "proper" English when writing a post on a forum - that said, you are right, your posts do generally seem to be more well written than most. I admire everyone who has taken the time and effort to learn another language as it is something I cannot do. I wasnt trying to be patronising, the sarcasm wasnt self evident as explained above. Mate your post that I quoted came across as missing the point and quite patronising so I was giving you the benefit of the doubt. Maybe you could try using an emoji or or a "lol" otherwise prepare to be misinterpreted. Just FYI, being able to write and speak English well doesnt mean that you can always pick up on the nuances of the language. Your post in my Ritter thread is a perfect example so maybe consider what you write before getting on your high horse.
