Absolutely superlative! Build quality looks as good or better than the real McCoy! Love this level of detail being lavished on something that can contribute to making music that has the power to bring joy to peoples lives. Music matters people! (Sorry, I've had a few beers)

GRADO SR80e Prestige Series Open Back Headphones - Boxed. Hardly been used, near new condition. ”Open-back on-ear headphones are a rarity, but Grado has knocked this one out of the park." What Hi-Fi Award Winner 2017 Audiophile sound quality Following on from a line of award-winning SR80s, the latest 'e' version is still every bit the music connoisseurs' choice. Still handmade in Brooklyn USA, the SR80e headphones look, feel and sound quite different from the opposition. With the 'e' model, both driver and housing have been redesigned to lower distortion. Polymer damping helps ensure distortion is quelled and detail is brought to the fore. Exceptional transparency Using a new 4-conductor cable, Grado has also sought to improve headphones' resolution, giving them the kind of transparency you'd expect from a pair of headphones costing twice as much. In short, if it's life-like realism with full-bodied vocals and impressive dynamics you're after, little, if anything at this price can better the SR80e. Robust and comfortable Using densely padded earpieces and a broad headband, the SR80es are more comfortable than they might at first appear. With swivel earpieces, they also fit snugly against your ears, as well as folding flat for ease of storage. Their construction is tough enough to take a daily commute while still offering long-term comfort. Unique style The unique retro style is quite unlike rivals' headphones. In the tradition of many of the best products, however, form follows function, so there's nothing superfluous in the Grado's design. For headphones that put sound quality above all else, the Grado SR80es continue to lead the pack. Specifications: Bluetooth No Cable Length 2 Freq Response (Hz) 20 - 20,000 Impedance (ohms) 32 On Ear Yes Open Back Yes Plug size 3.5 mm (6.35mm adapter) Sensitivity (dB) 100

Of course when you say "interesting" what you really mean is completely uneven and generally shite... -

You're all crazy, it is clearly a "typical jazz bass" as it clearly states in the listing...😂 -

£7000 for a £1k bass and a £6k story 😂
dyerseve replied to bigsmokebass's topic in eBay - Weird and Wonderful
I know but there are too many suppositions and assumptions being made surrounding the seller and how he obtained the bass. It may be that you guys are right and he may be a complete scumbag but there are no facts to prove it so I will with hold my judgement until there are some facts to base it on... -

I understand the sentiment but why does the person who purchased the bass owe anything to TM Stevens? Its a business transaction. Sorry guys I just dont see the problem, I ahve to assume TM Stevens was happy with the price the bass sold for as he wouldnt have sold it otherwise so I cant see any issue. If the seller has overpriced it which I think he has, especially as I see no proof of provenance, then he wont be able to get the profit he wants - again we are assuming he paid much less than 7K for it. -

**NOW SOLD** Up for sale is a pretty rare beast an Ibanez Studio ST924 bass from very early 1980s, made in Japan (Fujigen). . I believe it's serial number makes it an '80 or '81. This is a pretty special instrument as it was built to live in the studio and be as versatile as possible and it was built to last and stand the test of time in a real recording environment - hence it is as heavy as cruiseship. The controls are a bit unusual with there being a master volume but also another volume to control the gain on the active circuitry. The rotary switch switches between different tone profiles and these profiles are very close to a lot of different signature bass sounds - allowing you to dial in tones from deep reggae to Alembic-esque fusion funk to aggressive rock/metal and everything else in between. The tone control operates in both active and passive mode. The bass is showing signs of use but not abuse - as you would expect and hope for(nothing more sketchy than a vintage bass with no signs of use IMO!) Overall the cosmetic condition is pretty decent for a 35 year old bass - the only real damage is to one of the machineheads which has been bent as you can see in the photo - it still works though. Electronics are in full working order as is the truss rod. Any questions please let me know. Shipping available at buyers cost. Specs: Body: Walnut on Mahogany Neck: Maple 3-Ply Neck with "C" shaped profile Fingerboard: Rosewood Nut Width: 1.6875" (43 mm) Scale Length: 34" Frets: 24 medium jumbo Bridge: Accu-Cast B Tuners: Velve Tune B Pickups: Ibanez Super T-4 Humbuckers Controls: Master Volume, Master Tone, Boost (mini-switch), 3-Way Pickup Selector Toggle, 6-Way Tone Selector Rotary Switch Finish: Walnut (Natural) Origin: Japan Weight: 11 lbs, 6 oz. according to Ibanez or 5.5kg according to my bathroom scales
