I cant remember sorry, tried to find the sale thread but no luck. Here is a photo of mine if it helps(btw, they are just ridiculously great basses for the money. really fancy a NS-95 if I can find one and then upgrading the pups and pre):
Actually, looking at my feedback thread, it seems I sold it to EAD:
I would like to help but I still have 2 of my own basses in bits awaiting refinish so no time for anyone else's.
Gotta be plenty of actual pros nearby though?
Definitely not a job of a professional. To give you an idea, below is the work of an avergae joe(me) with the first bass I ever restored:
Its not perfect but it should give you an idea of what a professional should be capable of...
These are incredible instruments! There really is nothing else like a thumb NT! Especially a 5er and that B which is just so damn tight.
The pup placement can take some getting used to but have you considered a thumb rest?
I have a Streamer S1 5er as well and again it's a very special bass but the tones are not really comparable IMO
No i do not think that is ok as i stated in my original post. I am not happy that the seller has ommitted details especialy about the damage.
Now that you have revealed the seller has a history of deceiving buyers I think ebay should be made aware and provide them with as much detail as possible to help build a case against the seller.
However, I otherwise am happy for anyone to buy whatever they like and try and make money.
Mind you it depends if they had haggled you down on price with some sob story or told you it was bass of their dreams blah blah blah then I would certainly understand it leaving a sour taste in your mouth.
Recently I have had to separate buyers agree a deal with me on one if my items for sale here on BC only for neither one to follow through with the deal or even bother contacting me to say they are no longer interested. Even after I message them to ask if they still intend to go through with the purchase, they still don't even bother to reply. I can see they have been online several times since I sent my message so they are clearly just ignoring me and too bloody rude to have the decency to let me know they are no longer interested. Now that really irks me!
Not sure what the issue is here other than the ommision of the details of the damage.
Unless you copyrighted the photos and wording in your listing it is just part of the age of the internet alongside good old fashioned capitalism
No worries mate. It's no big deal in the scheme of things just didn't want you to leave yourself open to having a disappointed buyer.
Unfortunately Warwick are notorious for getting the details of their own basses wrong...
Oh ok thanks mate. Just thought as the Streamers prior to 92(?) were all broadneck thought this may have been the case with some thumbs at some stage...
Hmm, not into bolt ons really and will never be able to afford a custom shop so will just have to try and get used to the difference.
thanks
Does anyone know if there is such a thing as a broad neck Thumb NT. My Streamer SI 5 is broadneck and I would love to have a Thumb NT to match. My current Thumb NT has the std spacing and it can be tricky switching between them at times...
