  1. That is rather lovely looking! GLWTS
  2. I am surprised she hasnt found a loving home yet. She is one of the easiest, lightest and most well balanced basses I have ever owned. The EQ I installed also makes her really versatile and the act/pass option is always helpful. The EQ also has a mid selector just FYI
  3. haha you arent helping mate I am supposed to be having a purge at the mo!
  4. My old bass! Sorely tempted to have this back...
  5. Thanks guys. Yeah I'm pretty surprised it's still here too especially at this price!
  6. Set neck means, AFAIK, that it's not one of the better versions which are NT. Bit like the Vantages in that respect...
  7. Price dropped and shipping rates now listed
  8. Is it just me or does it look like a toy in some of the photos?
  9. Mate that is beautiful. Two things though, I'm not a fan of the colour of the pups, IMO they take away from the woods used. The other thing is that I can't believe the intonation is correct with all the saddles lined up in a straight line like that...
  10. Wow this is just lovely. Lucky for my bank balance it only has 4 strings
  11. Shipping costs now listed in OP. Had plenty of trade offers but looking for a sale only thanks
  12. wow she is a beaut! Unless my eyes deceive me it is a bit of the scratchplate that is missing and not the fingerboard. You could help yourself with the sale by detailing things like scale, weight, number of frets, controls etc.
  13. It definitely should be a new yardstick. By that I mean a something thing to stick in your yard and set fire to!
  14. I have plenty of words for that. All of the contain 4 letters and are not printable on this forum....
  15. Maybe this fellow BCer can help you out:
  16. I dont understand how or even why you would deliberately arrive at that "shape" for a headstock... Dear god it's even uglier than a Laurus headstock...
  17. but it's a vintage monstrosity so its worth more innit
  18. Not necessarily IMO. The OP may play with a very heavy hand in which case the frets will buzz even though the luthier may have set the action low yet without buzz to suit most playing styles. I set my own basses up with as low action as possible without buzz. however, if im getting really carried away and really dig in I will get fret buzz.
  19. is it buzzing on the 5th fret or when you fret the 5th fret. the difference being it could be buzzing behind where you are fretting - to see if this is the case fret the 5th with your pinky or ring finger then use the middle and index to mute the string behind the 5th fret. if this stops the buzzing then the nut could have been cut too low. more relief will help but it is not the correct solution to the problem IMO
  20. Hi, the pickups are the originals to the bass. It is only the pre that is non original. I would say the sound is 95% of the original sound.
