  1. All the better to hold the headstock on with
  2. tbf that hardware probably isnt the same as this which should be the solid brass variety. I still agree that £300 is very generous.
  3. Surely it depends what caused the output transistors to blow that is the key here. The blown trannies might by the symptom of the fault rather than the cause...
  4. Yeah we've already had a thread on this one. The guy is a dreamer with that price - originally was 350ish and as high as 800ish. It's for parts only, can't see it possibly being repaired with the amount of wood missing
  5. I think the seller has it spot on judging by this... https://www.talkbass.com/threads/aria-pro-ii-sb-1200-information.1237127/
  6. Really? I've seen some Thors but nothing like this SB1200. In fact I haven't seen another Aria like this. The pups and bridge are definitely different to every other Aria I've seen
  7. I could be wrong but if you are asking £3K for a bass you might help yourself by providing some photos and stating your location...
  8. never seen one of these before. doesnt look like a vintage Matsu build but still looks really luverly: https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Aria-Pro-II-SB-1200-Brown-Electric-Bass-Guitar-Japan-Vintage/182967966825?epid=23008030357&hash=item2a99bd9c69:g:7ucAAOSwm3paNcKN
  9. That was not my point...
  10. God forbid the guy doesn't have time to check his emails everyday! Some people might be busy in the lead up to Xmas or summat...
  11. Surely the only card that should ever be used is the ace of spades, the ace of spades, the ace of spades...
  12. magical? there is nothing magical about the fact that different woods have different densities.
  13. Thanks mate, yeah she is a beaut, just need to find one with an extra string on it!
  14. Im in Dudley, West Mids but can travel within reason to drop off or ship it in bomb proof packaging within the UK - see my feedback.
  15. Ok so you know better than Warwick then...
  16. and god only knows what wood it would be made of given the description that mentions a flame top veneer over an alder body when the photo im sure shows an ash of some description
  17. how on earth do you reach this conclusion? Surely if this was the case all basses would be made from plywood or MDF or any other readily available and cheap material...
  18. I recently bought a bass from Claude and was very pleased with the transaction. Claude is a real gent and the bass arrived safely and well packaged from Brussels to here in the UK. Deal with confidence
  19. Not sure HP would be too happy to see this: https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/DIY-Standard-6-String-Warwick-RockBass-Bass-Guitar-Body-Alder-Fender-Parts/173033742107?_trkparms=aid%3D555017%26algo%3DPL.CASSINI%26ao%3D1%26asc%3D20170912102017%26meid%3De96ec3a976764860b5cf178ea82f0f96%26pid%3D100706%26rk%3D1%26rkt%3D1%26&_trksid=p2045573.c100706.m4781 Love the completely wrong description too : . The listing is for a 4-String Warwick RockBass Bass Body Alder Flame Top Veneer Clear Gloss Finish, the body in the pictures is the actual one you'll get. . Made of alder with flame top veneer, very light. . All wire pathes and mounting holes are pridrilled. . I'll also offer a free back cavity cover for the body. . Weight: 1.5kg (3.3 lbs)
  20. It's one of the best sounding ibbys I've ever heard judging by that YouTube clip. GLWTS
  21. Thanks Haz Been. For me the quality and sound of this bass is every bit as good as my Thumb NT and Streamer Stage 1s. Pre-Christmas price drop BUMP
  22. i reckon it should come with a greed case in this instance
  23. quite pricey too
  24. wow, never seen strings like that before. very helpful for heavier gauges with the warwick bridges as I sometimes have trouble fitting the B string on mine. If I get stuck sorting my action on the fretless I will defo give these a shot, thanks for the recommendation
