1.
Point made. You wont have a leg to stand on in any court if you call money exchanged in a sale a gift. Sorry I had to spell it out again. Now it's your turn to calm down I think.
Umm the OP is SELLING the bass so he doesnt need to worry about it. Sorry that needs to be spelt out to you.
 2.
Whoosh.
Come on then, I'm still waiting for your point... if you know it all then do tell
 3.
Hmmm http://basschat.co.uk/topic/252025-paypal-gift-payments/
The OP is selling, therefore there is no risk to him.
 4. Calm down buddy. Yes it's a sale and the PayPal gift option is just one way to transfer funds. Absolutely nothing to do with being clever and NO PayPal payment option has anything to do with HMRC. What was you point again?
 5.
Don't think he can claim back a Paypal Gift can he? I don't like the under-declaring the value though. That way there would be no insurance. If you're talking about your Status Grafite, that's serious money to a person on Thai wages. Smells funny.
Lots of people live in Thailand mate, some of whom are very wealthy - just like most other countries! I sold a pair of high end speaker cables to bloke in Thailand years ago, paid via bank transfer, no issues at all. The value of these cables would be more than most of secondhand Status's! Dont know why people are saying not to accept paypal gift. It cannot be reversed which is why it is free to use - no transaction insurance to pay for!
 6. Ashdown 10" Driver(2 available) extremely lightly used. I bought these as replacements because I thought there was a problem with the drivers in my cab, turns out there wasnt anything wrong with the drivers and it was the head! So these have been installed but have had all of 10 minutes use. I dont know the exact details(other than their impedance which is a nominal 8Ohms but both measure at 7.1Ohms) but I believe they are rated to 80 watts. £25.00 each + £5.00 delivery mainland UK. £45 delivered for the pair to mainland UK
 7.
Invisible man gloves are available on ebay.
can you send me a link please, I cant seem to find em....
 8.
Ok then, so what tonegloves are best for metal?
Umm chainmaille or studded-leather durr!!!
 9.
Here's Scott Devine's gloves story: http://www.scottsbas...sods/the-gloves
Am I invisible or summat?
 10.
I was bidding on this but was outbid with minutes to go while out with the dog. If I found out who I'm going to burn their house down!! http://www.ebay.co.u...t-/282339111627
they did you a favour mate. good luck to them trying to find a heart-shaped neck plate!
 11.
Hi I have noted that some bass players like to play wearing gloves. Why is this? What advantages, if any, are there and if so what are they made from, would fibres catch in the strings. Jono
If you are referring to Scott Devine from Scott's Bass Lessons, he wears them due to a medical condition called Focal Dystonia - the gloves stop his fingers from trembling. Cant comment any other players.
 12.
Thanks guys, confirmed my gut feeling and that I sent the right response. If I hear back with anything else I'll just say "thanks, but not interested" and post anything ridiculous that gets said
the other thing to consider is that if you have underclared the value then if it gets lost or damaged you wont be able to claim the proper value of the instrument insurance wise.
 13. Please do update. I swapped out the pre on my Status Series 1 for an Aguilar OBP3 with active/passive switching and switchable mid point too. Sounds incredible and passive is lovely, so is having a mid control too!
 14. bump and another price drop! Now £645 shipped internationally - or £595 for UK!
 15. G'day mate! Welcome to basschat. Whereabouts in Aus are you? I spent 20 years in rural Vic and Melb - great part of the world!
 16. Lozz has just bought my Ashdown After Eight. Instant payment and great comms throughout. Pleasure doing business with you sir!
 17.
Westone Spectrum ST with an interesting body crack http://www.ebay.co.u...%3D292001183115
I would guess that its just a crack in the fnish. I wouldnt expect wood to crack in that manner. I could be wrong though
 18. Ashdown 15W After Eight Practice Amp in great working order and very good cosmetic condition. Hardly used and functions perfectly. Comes with a power cable. £45.00 collected or £55.00 posted mainland UK. 19. another thumbs up for Kevin. looking forward to my next lesson already!
 20. I know you say you already have Africa but this is probably still worth a look: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=G_gSS7QTCM8
 21.
Guys, I think Scott from Scott's Bass would side with my position on tone. Blue
Its your pedantry that most people have an issue with. the fact you dont seem to grasp that suggests that arrogance pay also be an issue here. everyone else clearly understood what the OP was asking
 22.
Chorus is an effect, compression is processing. Neither are tone. Blue
I bet you're great fun at parties!
 23. looking forward to meeting Kevin and having my first lesson on Monday!
