It's looking a little like a Westone Thunder now.
Trans cherry like a Guild or Gibbo would look smart over that mahogany. -
yes, the Princess Isabella looks like a lovely big mint imperial - I just want to lick it!
The tailpiece is neat too.
The photography is brilliant, but I'd be interested to know in what way they don't live up to the photos in the "flesh", if EBS would care to elaborate.... -
Take the small amp. For acoustic stuff, it's all you'll need. You'd look more of a d+ck toting a big amp to an all acoustic do.
Toilet seats! how dare you! hehe it has no hole, how can it be a bog seat! bog seat or not its a stingray on steriods! ;-)
Black Bongo with white plate gives that lovely "porcelain" effect! -
Without a B string, isn't it just an "Ongo"?
I'll get my coat... -
there's only one way to find out - FIGHT!!!
Can you explain this a little further/point me to a thread that does - I think I know what you're going to say but not secure enough to say it.
I've heard of 10's and 15's being a big 'no no' due to the risk of being out phase but then seeing so many people use the setup (and some being using the setup as me) it led me to believe it is folklore - however my electronics and music tech qualifications (although they feel pretty useless at the moment) tell me that there must be some truth in it thanks to good old subject physics!
It's not about the mixing of the speakers at all, it's just that if the 15"speaker is wired the opposite way to the combo the two cabs will tend to cancel each other out, in other words if the 10" cones are going forward, the 15 will be going backwards. If the socket on the cab, or the speaker or cable are wired wrong, this could happen. -
I got that lovely leather Warwick gig bag from my dear wife. I'm a lucky lad!

Nice sound!
-
This is a lovely looking bass, quite remeniscent of a Sei Original, though I guess these pre-date Sei by a few years.
Mmmm! -
just use it for a few weeks - job done!
-
And the colours on Al DiMeola's 'rainbow' guitar are in the wrong order. Schoolboy error!

I would have thought a wipe over with Tru-Oil would suffice. I doubt it would eat the decal, and would blend fine with the rest of the head.
**Caveat** I might be wrong!! -
Sounds like the same Legend5 Ive got. Unbelievable sound for the money. If it has EMG HZ humbucker + Jazz, stacked t&B with seperate mid, it's the EMG pre too, which is fine imo. Good score!
Thanks Mark,
Was able to replace the D600 with an NTE 373, well i replaced twice! as I quickly found the real cause of the problem, a dodgy voltage regulator, lesson learned, will check from that end next time! I must say I am pretty astonished at the poor quality, particulary the voltage regulators in this unit, its from a 'respectatable' well known brand and some of the soldering was shocking, even i can do better!
Name and shame!! -
Rounds for me. I find it's nice to have the top end available for bringing out harmonics if you need to, and when you don't, you can just dial the tone down.
I think the sound with rounds has more complexity and I just find it more interesting. -
An old Trace Elliot 300w 1x15 combo should fit the budget and fulfill your needs.
Was fine for me in a similar setting. -
Replace both long-tailed pair and driver after it and all is now good, job done.
Unfortunately, during the repair I accidentally plugged my headphones into the speaker out when testing it, so that added a bit to my cost (Sennheiser CX200) -
And if you're not on Facebook?
-
Any feedback issues? My friend has one, and I remember it being hard to control at any reasonable volume.
I think he stuffed it with tea towels, which helped! -
just out of interest, what did it weigh in the end?
Cheers

I like 1, or a full-on Pingray one!

How about a Jap Flag?
My mate plays drums in Scam69 and has a drum kit in this design and it totally suits the punk thing.
so its a hex socket but all the allen keys you have are either too small or too big, yes?
My warmoth neck is fine with a 3/16th key, should be same as a jazz bass.
Maybe a silly Q but have you got a full, comprehensive set of allen key sizes in metric & imperial?
Agreed - some imperial allen key sizes on American gear can be odd eg 11/64" Not all sets have these daft inbetween values.
It would help if you said which were too large and too small. Some clever fellah on here is bound to be able to work it out.

Yeah, dont force the low sting in the nut as it might split the side of the nut off. Get the nut width right before you tension up.
