  1. Didn't Warwick's tag line used to be "the sound of wood " ?
  2. Nobody has mentioned Lightwave yet?
  3. That does look rather nice. How does it balance, with the short upper bout?
  4. Nice job. These are very usable basses, back in the 70s they used to turn up in junk shops for peanuts. The prices being asked these days are quite eye watering!
  5. @dangerboy had some aluminium bass thing going on. Haven't seen him in a while. He bought my Kramer 450b ages ago and had an Electrical Guitar Company one iirc
  6. The body shape is very Travis Bean
  7. Just the pickups actually. It's the usual poor quality Fender switch, I'd heard of a lot of quality issues with these and thought, well, I'm fine, they must be talking rubbish, then it cut out the other day in the bridge position. I always prefer blend on basses so that might give me the impetus to get on and do it
  8. They were listed separately and sold the day I put them up. Sorry!
  9. BTW, I have the original black Fender bridge from this in the for sale section if anyone feels like getting their stealth on
  10. Oh dear, I just posted this on the short scale thread. The ebony board on the fsr was the clincher for me
  11. FSR Mustang P-J. Shiny stealth.
  12. Apart from the white bits I love that! Is it a wrap?
  13. I feel your pain, but compact can be efficient too!
  14. How about replacing the zero fret with an adjustable (Warwick style) nut?
  15. Still showing a strong Bowie influence back then. Not that far removed from the current offering, just a bit more immediate hook.
  16. Looks like there's something missing
  17. Ooh! Sounds handy for when I'm trying to record myself whilst at the drum kit. My pc is handily positioned across the room for operation when I'm standing up playing the bass.
  18. In that particular case it would be more time consuming to just plate the ends
  19. Sold some machines to Stu, seamless transaction. Highly recommended!
  20. Yeah, that kind of thing. Chrome for the split too though!
  21. Looks great! Shiny chrome pickup covers would look nicely retro too! Is there even such a thing?
  22. If the Vintera is a Mexican made beastie, I'd guess the routing is the same as the p-j one.
