Are you building a room-in-a-room for isolation? Or doing “hat & channel” mounting the plasterboard? I only ask as am assuming the dB level will be quite high, and neighbours might get funny after a few weeks of noise. I’m really close to loads of other houses, so am going all in on my build to minimise noise leakage. You have a decent distance to closest neighbours by the looks of it.

I’m far too in to these sorts of things - what will be the finished internal room height? I’m halfway through a very slow build and had to keep the exterior height below 2.5metres, so internally it’s… cosy.

That neck looks very touchable. I’d take the 4 string PJ in natural.

Take it off and buff it with Brasso? Might make it look better. My inclination would be to make best as-is before chucking money at it.

A thorough clean and polish would do so much. If the pickups still work, then I’d leave them in. Maybe sandpaper on the pole pieces to get them shiney? Just don’t use wire wool!

I had one in the finish you sought - I accidentally killed the preamp so got a passive loom. Worked really well. So comfortable to play with such a perfect balance. I eventually decided the neck was too skinny for me so sold it. Maybe I should have kept hold of it 🤪
