I had a (terrible) P copy with 1969 Stamped in the heel and neck pocket, but that Les Paul type one @BreadBin referenced had 1969 in the heel & neck too. Maybe they were all 1969, with the “day/month” being the actual model?
@Maude - what does yours say?!
It looks like a square neck plate would fit there. But then again, the new screw location would be in a less structurally desirable place looking at the grain pattern.

I don’t know what else to say!
It seems CNC is available to many these days, but it’s clearly the thought, planning and detail that is the differential here. Like the old argument about synthesisers or computer music - still takes talent to make it work to this level. Fekkin awesome!
Absolutely stunning work! It looks like there will be no overspray in the neck pocket, just wood on wood contact. Lovely mix of colours. Amazing detail!!!
Nice colour combo - seems to make the chrome pop. It’s a good interpretation of a classic - clean-looking and with the shaped body too.
Good luck with the move!
Ola amigos.
My local tech just posted some Instagram pictures of a bass he’s worked on, and I’m smitten.
The tech (very good too) is in the South Wales area , so I’m wondering if this belongs to one of us on this here site?
This is just great!
