  1. 🤣🤣🤣🤣
  2. That looks the business. Where does the wire go to not cause any damage to the bass?
  3. The matte finish is a lovely contrast to the shiny chrome!
  4. Me neither - cool!
  5. Crikey he’s got a good set of pipes!
  6. That looks really good! I’m also enjoying the “Changing Rooms” updates in the background!!
  7. Do a NCD post when it arrives, please!
  8. Pretty good figures there! I like the white 1x12. The 1x10 is tiny!
  9. And the wadding is there to cushion the sound, and also make it “warmer”.
  10. True, the spare sound drops to the bottom, but that’s why most lightweight cabs have ports there - to let all the heavy notes out. That’s why port size is so critical - if you let too much sound out, the cab simply floats away. At least, that’s my understanding of it all.
  11. Looks ace, but I’d address the fabric ripples. Maybe try removing the grill and putting a hot hair dryer to it? Failing that pull the staples out and start again. Sorry for the negativity- it really is an ace looking cab!
  12. I went off this for a bit after the ugliness of the routing! Thankfully, a @KiOgon loom and a three hole tele plate turned up and I’m excited to get it finished 😎
  13. There’s the new hifi speakers sorted! No more packing your gig stuff away during the week.
  14. That’s awesome! Love that it’s so refreshingly different!
  15. How much is your not much? I couldn’t find any (obvious) pricing on a quick search.
  16. Nice! What finish is that?
  17. The first one I ever did 20yrs ago I parted out. 2nd was a bitsa P so doesn’t count. I’m hoping I’ll do an alright job of number 3...
  18. Fretless? Also neckless! 🤣 Thats a lovely sheen on lovely grain though.
  19. Champagne gold, gun metal grey - something metallic I reckons.
  20. I’ve never played one, nor am I familiar with the brand, but just looking at the pictures then scrolling up to the price I spat out my tea (or would have done had I been drinking it) when I saw the price - £130 smackers for that? Is there a zero missing?!
  21. Is that to get that woolly tone?
  22. If the neck was bowed with four strings on it, I can’t see it getting better under the increased tension of eight!
  23. Just found the ad 😍. I have a BF Two10, and don’t envisage ever swapping that out, so the 550 is a good match! Its like the Hohner Jack all over again - if it’s still there in April I will have it! Btw - a @KiOgon VVT passive loom in the Hohner has really brought the pups to life 😎.
  24. Well I just put a jazz neck on a Talman body, so I say Go for it and work the details out as you hit the stumbling blocks. You could keep the neck, fill the 6 holes and put a laminate either side, then redrill for the four bass tuners. The only concern is what is under the trem plate? Which isn’t a concern if you were going to refinish anyway I guess.
  25. That’s a looker, that! How’s the output on the E & G strings? They look close to the edges of the pickup.
