  1. TC BQ500 for more oomph minus the bells and whistles of the BH250.
  2. Sorry to say it, but I’d keep the pf500 so you have enough oomph to drive the One10 (300w @8ohm, and the cab can probably take them).
  3. If I were closer I’d probably pop by on payday, but I couldn’t swing a two hour drive with the Mrs for an amp I don’t need (just want!) Ever drive to Swansea, Kev?
  4. I’ve really developed a thing for black p-basses with a maple fretboard! Looks ace.
  5. That looks great! Can you do one in roasted flamed maple?!? Mmm, roasted maple...
  6. How do you ensure a perfect transition from the face of the fret board to the corresponding fret face of the binding without sanding (because the frets are now in the way)? Love the idea though - will look/feel ace with the rolling not being broken by the fret ends.
  7. Ooh, I’ll take the middle one’s shape, with the top one’s body colour and scatch plate, with the maple neck from the bottom one please!
  8. That looks great.
  9. That’s funny - someone took the graphite thing a bit too literally! Leave it as it is - it’s a great conversation piece!
  10. A Two10 will be sufficient for my needs, but a Four10 would satisfy my dormant competitive urges! Well done Sir!
  11. Funnily enough, I’ve got a gig as a drummer, where I’ve been a bassist forever. Looking forward to the switcheroo. It’ll be temporary, of course. Unless I join drumchat, then develop an insatiable thirst for the ultimate drum tone, buying and selling and fretting over tiny details that no one will notice.
  12. That’s the nicest Mustang colour combo I’ve seen! Unfortunately I’m on a “no more basses” order from Mrs Pea Turgh.
  13. Nooooo!!!!!
  14. I would have paid £150 if it felt good. But hey, if someone will pay £1k, good on them.
  15. Just out of interest really - I was reading opinions on how the old ones were the best sounding bass amps ever made, and wondered how close the new ones came to that accolade. I’m not thinking of buying a new one, and I definitely couldn’t justify owning/maintaining an old one. I’ll carry on with my little pf350 for the foreseeable as I’m only doing pub gigs and weddings 😁
  16. I’d just been reading about B15’s & B12’s, then thought of this thread. Sorry if this has already been covered, but wattage aside, are these new valve heads recreations, reimaginations or just looky likeys of those old 60’s beasts?
  17. Looks like copper to me - seems to be a bit of green on the top left edge. It would certainly make a good fixer-upper if the neck is sound!
  18. The angled sides make me think of Bugera though. It would, er, sound better if it was flat fronted.
  19. Holy cow - that's atrocious! That's how I expected my Thomann deko to look (but it didn't!). That was sold as new?!?!
  20. What a fantastic learning tool - it hums the tune to you when you forget!!!
  21. I read the thread title as “feathers” earlier, and “Fenders” this evening. 1. Zero fret 2. ultralight tuners 3. rolled edge fretboards 4. the ability to balance (two strap buttons on symmetrical body or one offset on a non-symmetrical boy like wot Tobias used to do) whilst still being plugged in.
  22. Two One10’s will sound awesome. I just started using both all the time (two Marshall 4x12’s to contend with) hence my want of a Two10. Heck, if I’m flush I might just get a Four10 and be damned with the roof!
  23. I had 2 x One10’s before but had to sell them when I was skint. The cabs were great, and the customer service was top notch. Looking forward to getting another!
  24. After straining my back again last night loading in, I really want to get the Two10 ASAP! Will start saving...
