Cool! How much did you pay for it?
-
That’s one fantastic heel/neck transition there!
-
You’ll have to tell us a little more about that cab!

Check this out........! http://acousticamplification.com/

I don’t think you’ll like them, it says; “these powerhouses offer all the legendary “Pro’s Tone” without the heft.” No heft! -
My diminutive Barefaced One10 miniest stack with an Ampeg pf350 - love these things! And also my trusty JV that took me about 15 years in negotiations with the original owner (my mate’s dad) to purchase. I only want another bass out of greed - I should just stick to one.

Hello. Ive been getting in to pedals over the last year or so. It started with a tremelo for my pianet, then an octaver for my bass, an analogue echo for general mixing and so on. Now I need somewhere to put them, so here’s the fruits of this evening’s labours... 1. Started off with a few planks taken from an old bed base. 2. Cut to size (ish - I’m too impatient to wait for the correct tools). 3. Remember to charge the effin’ screwdriver! 4. Glooo and scroooo 5 & 6. Not looking too bad! Next I’ll need to fill the duff holes, give it a sand, then apply whatever suitable finish I find in the shed. Then Velcro up and see if I can attach the power supply to the underside, and finally attach some rubber feet on the bottom. Whattaya fink?

Ok, being honest, i’m GAS’ing for a bitsa P.
-
Got my GAS out in the latter part of 2017 with my two lovely barefaced One10’s. This year I’m building a pedal board to keep the pedals tidy and plugged up without the dog chewing them. Actually, I’d like a nice no.2 bass to complement my lovely JV P. Been watching the build diaries like a madman, and that’s probably going to land me in gear trouble with the Mrs!

I had chocolate. It is Christmas after all.

Looks nice, what ever it is. I’ve only ever tried one (that was a recent reissue or whatever). I found the string spacing at the bridge far too claustrophobic. I’d love one for the scale length though - those Paul McCartney bass lines would be a lot easier if my fingers didn’t have as far to go!
-
I got a looper from the Mrs, so I’m well happy!
-
I finished watching this in the middle of a panto, so can’t hear it, but I think it looks nice, at least! The bridge looks like it’s in the wrong place though...

Hello chaps. I had another gig last night, and acoustically it was the opposite of last week. Last week the bass got lost in the large and relatively bare concrete venue - very difficult to hear any definition, and seemed like there was no bass at all. Last night I was stuffed in the corner which seemed to reinforce my sound - absolutely loved it! The sound guy said it was nicely balanced out front, but on stage it was all ME! I mentioned it before, but I find with such lovely tone and oomph at my side, I feel more confident in my playing. I find myself just noodling in between songs because it sounds so lovely!

The idea of a bitsa is growing on me. Where do you get your bits from though?
-
I think it’s just the silver reminds me of a hifi amp! Black also looks cool.
-
Silver? With wooden end cheeks? Damn, now I want one of those!

The one that got away in 99/00 Manchester Bass Centre

There was a Tobias Toby Pro 4 string thru neck that fit me like a glove for about £500 that I couldn’t afford in a now- closed guitar shop in Swansea. Honestly, it felt like an extension of my body it was so good. That was maybe 1997 or so. Never found another that felt like that. Damnit! -
Woof! Get your tech to take it out of the box though, I know it’s for practical reasons but it’d look cooler naked!
-
I think you’ll love the combo @machinehead! I have my second gig with the BF duo tonight and I can’t wait! I’ll be in Unit 19, Little Wind Street in Swansea at 7.30 if any bass chatters are local to me.

Looking good Kev! But she-itt that’s an expensive head!! I’m guessing you have other cabs too, as that’s quite a lot of wattage there for the One10?
-
Refused is basically you had insurance, put in a claim and they said no way. Like fraud, or doing something stupid. Not being quoted for is them not wanting to get involved in the first place. You’d need business class, and make sure your gear is insured separately, as often contents cover on motor policies is a pitiful token gesture.

Just had a quick jam with my son, thought I ‘d stick some close up shots of the cab for your judgment. I really like the brown piping!
-
Just got in from my gig - bloody great! Two of these babies is exactly right for me with these new bands - one was audible, two absolutely own the bottom end of the spectrum! The amp volume was set to about 2 o’clock, so could have given more, but it was not required. I need to get another cajon bag for the second cab, should then be able to fit cab and head in one, and cab and leads/stand/tuner in the other. If I can just get a 2 bass gig bag to sling over my back I’ll be living the one-trip-to-the-car dream.

Wouldn’t a DI be outputting mic level? That’s a lot less than line level, which is probably what the PA speakers want to see, hence being a bit quiet.
-
Cheers Kev. I had asked about doing a Two10 in tweed the week before, and spotted the website link was live Friday night, so think I might have been first on the list! Two of them are bloody loud for such tiny boxes - think i’m set now! Gig tomorrow night with the noisy lot, but they don’t stand a chance of drowning me out now... mooohaahaaahaaaa!!!!!!
