  2. For sale Mxr M82 Bass Envelope Filter. Good condition, no box, velcro on underside. Great pedal. £80 posted UK mainland. Trades for any weird stuff, no drives
  3. Ahh cheers dude, yeah man, Ibiza was mint, usual HRH bullpoop though haha. Sounds mental, don't think I have anything until Clutch in December, too busy checking out local bands and playing gigs! That'd be mint, getting around a bit now, be good to catch up man!
  4. Man I haven't broken that beast out this side of the apocalypse, that being said I could put some words together
  5. I whole heartily agree. I went through several class D amps and all failed in some way, either over heating, poor volume or just plain rubbish. ABM 600 now for the past 3/4 years doesn't weigh a ton and tone and power for days. Horses for courses I know, and everyone of us has a different idea of what they need, but I need loud and reliable and that's what my amp gives me
  6. Originals for me, have done covers in the past but I dont find it a joyous as playing my own music. Average about 4/5 gigs a month, picking up with some summer festivals.
  7. I sold it on a few months ago, great bass though I do miss it but I had pedals to buy!
  8. There's an EQ off and on and the shape button, which button do you mean dude? The shape button applies a heavy scooping, but either in or out the bass control still works, EQ off, is literal everything off. As for line in, never used mine, maybe one to email Ashdown about?
  9. Drunk people isn't the issue, that's fine, them songs though . . . *shudders*
  10. Gigged solidly (2/3 times a week) a for a good 6 years up to the Pandemic, band split over lockdown so formed a new one from scratch this time last year. Wrote and recorded an album by June, started gigging in August, managed around 13 gigs between then and Christmas. Got a decent calendar for the summer, all originals. I love gigs, I hate driving, parking, loading in and out, waiting around, watching a band eat in to your set time haha. I wouldn't change anything though.
  11. Anything less than 34" bog off to Guitar chat 😛 Just kidding, I have no exp with short scales
  12. Until quite recently I missed the first N in Bergantino, For a while I always thought it was "Burger- teeno" Damn brain
  13. Kma Tyler Deluxe Frequency splitter Excellent condition with box. £200 posted UK mainland. Blerb . . The heart of the pedal is still the same essential filter sections, which splits your signal into different loops with HIGH PASS and LOW PASS paths both filters have a 12 dB/oct. roll-off with a variable cut-off frequency from 20 Hz to 3 kHz). The rest of the vital tonal organs have had a thorough upgrade, which has resulted in an improved noise floor too. So, let’s dive into everything that makes this pedal DELUXE. Since the original TYLER was also used as an advanced AB/Y box by many, it was found that ground loops could occur - no more with TYLER DELUXE! Both SENDs are now transformer coupled (with TRIAD Magnetics) to give you a nice and warm saturation, while avoiding ground-loops (internal slide-switched ground-lift). To be prepared for almost every situation and every pedal, both loops also got their own phase inversion switch (+/-) to get rid of potential unwanted phase cancelation. The next new must-have feature is there to ensure the transparency of your setup and because we know it's important to you and to us, we added the good old CLEAN blend. So far so good, but the deluxe delights don’t stop here! A master phase-switch ensures a fixed and reliable interaction with your set filter-frequency in every situation, no matter if you either have a loop engaged or not. But wait, for all of you who wants to follow TYLER's evolution, we added another claimed feature. The LP-CUT and HP-CUT switches will now mute your loops when bypassed, which will give you tons of new options to be creative, by only using the engaged loops without having clean artefacts pass through when disengaging one of the loops. Modern times brings modern needs, so TYLER DELUXE is now equipped with relay-based soft-switches, an internal step-up to increase the headroom for hotter input signals and low-noise op-amps to improve the overall sound-quality and usability. Some examples of use: Bass players want to retain their low end while using their favourite fuzz or dirt pedal. Insert your dirt box in the highpass FX-Loop and adjust the cut-off frequency of the High and Low Pass to your needs. Dial in your preferred ratio of those Low and High Pass signals, engage the STEEL footswitch and you will never turn off TYLER again! You can also insert different modulation pedals, for example insert a lush phaser for the lows and a nice shimmering delay for the highs and TYLER will make it sound like two different guitars are playing at once. Mix up your modulation pedals with any dirt pedals, for a very pronounced and punchy sound all coming from one amp. If there ever was a Swiss army knife for your tone, then TYLER DELUXE must surely be it. So, fire up your frequency saw and start defining your own unique sonic path. Powered by an optional standard 9V DC (max.) PSU (negative center, 2.1mm, approx. 100mA current draw)
  14. For sale Mxr M282 compressor pedal Good condition, no box. Velcro on bottom Cool compressor pedal, tiny foot print. £75 posted UK mainland.
  15. Not sure if it's just me, but I can't listen to anything that I can't imagine myself playing.
  16. To link in with the other thread too, I have a focus estate, it's perfection. 3 piece band, Singer/Guitar, Me, Drums Most gigs - heads and breakables, I can get all 3 of us in with what need plus merch box. In terms of what I take: Bass Head Pedal board Strap 2 x jack leads (no spares on me oops) 3 x speak-on cable (in case there's two cabs plus a spare) Kettle lead Extension lead if no power out front for the pedal board. Face towel! very important! Spare set a strings, 9v battery. I did used to have a large bag with 2 x everything in there, but never (touch wood) gone through jacks / power cables or speaker cables.
  17. Bout the same, both sides at 12 noon, had a play around but just feels right there currently
  18. Thanks Both, I do have a HPF at the front, Mini vong, sweepable, helps with the room boom. yep seeing what works in and out each loop, one thing to be wary of if anyone goes down the KMA route, polarity reversals, got 4 pedals in the top loops, 3 reverse polarity when engaged, had to make some amendments . . At the moment I have the frequencies split nicely to provide suitable low end umph and top end for the gain pedals. Currently have my old trusty EHX bass preacher fattening up the low end, I am wondering if a small eq pedal will assist. Anyway it's all trial and error, gigged it at the weekend, seemed ok, will keep testing the waters
  19. Solidgoldfx Lysis MK2 Boxed, velcro on bottom. Only few weeks old. Insane octave filtered fuzz. Google it and watch the vids. Great tracking on the octave. £150 Inc postage
  20. Hi all. I've been very trigger happy with pedals lately and recently taken in a KMA Tyler Deluxe. Just waiting on a new pedal board to arrive but did some tests at the weekend and can confirm, it is awesome. So, hive mind, All my dirt pedals will be going via the HPF loop, leaving the clean low end in the LPF loop. Aside from a compressor, (which I have on the way) what is the best way to tighten up / boost that clean low end. The Kma, has sweepable frequencies for both to find the sweet spot for the splits, a Mix between the two, over all level and over all clean blend, but stick a knarly fuzz on and it sings, but I really want the low end to chunk up underneath. Think a compressor will handle that ok? (MXR Dynacomp fyi) or that alongside maybe the EHX mole or maybe a eq pedal with a few dB's of gain on the low end. I plan on leaving the KMA on all the time and individually turning off the various dirt's in the HPF chain. Just brainstorming by the way. 🙂
