ABM 600 user coming up to 3 years I think, probably the longest I've kept an amp in my music life, best amp I've ever had. Got a bddi V2 complimenting it. Usually paired with Bf 410/210 or both, occasionally an ashdown 610. I have a very "aggressive" EQ probably most if you will raise an eye brow too, but it works for me haha. I'll only change it when I need the 1200!

DM me dude, its my cab and I usually use bf cabs, it all depends what sound your after mate, more than welcome to have a blast anyways man

I tend to use a slight bit of drive/boost. In the past a EHX bass soul food was a good shout, slight bit of distortion / treble bite. Currently using an Ashdown double shot for a top end breakup. Personally never found a chorus effect to fill stuff out in my stuff. Octave wise, if going up, it'll kinda sound weird on it's unless you have some form of gain/fuzz/distortion along side it. all depends on what kinda style your playing though too. I'd say grab some cheap pedals, try them out and find something you like then invest in a solid version of that.

Preamps - Where is yours in your chain and how do you put it to use?

Sansamp at the end, it just makes everything sound better. -
I like my trousers thoroughly flapped. I guess it all comes down to personal choice, I love the feel of the power behind me, I play hard rock, and my bass is quite prominent, I play better and feel better when I can feel/hear myself well with my amp and cab. For me, I'm happy with that and that's from pub gigs to larger gigs / academies etc. Give me a stack of 10's!

I've got a BF Four10 and a two10S for modular needs, always fancied a Super Twin, I don't know why I am drawn to it. Just picked up a bargain Ashdown ABM 610 too! Still the Super Twin calls! @Muppet If your need for a two10s calls give me a shout

Woo vertical 4 x 10, the way up is the way forward! I'd do this but my head (ABM 600) is too wide for the layout haha.

Ashdown ABM 600 Head, Barefaced 410 cab (plus a bf 210s just in case!). Although I've just snapped up an Ashdown ABM 610 cab to play with!
-
Can also confirm, it's very useable if that's what you're after.
-
I've got one of these. really good but I find I don't use the variable, wouldn't mind a Thumpinator back tbf https://schalltechnik04.de/en/instructions/mini-hp-vong
-
I love it, I wish it was in stock prior to me purchasing the black one, no regrets though, killer bass
-
Can confirm it is glorious especially with some DR Black Beauties
-
Absolutely true, not on this occasion. Unfortunately, in my ignorance, which I should have known it was down to being underpowered, few changes in the power supply and it's good. I hang my head in shame, ahh well

Yep, tried with my passive bass and it's fine, would have thought a bass specific pedal would account for this. Oh well. Edit! Ignore me it's been a long week. Pedal works fine and sounds great! 😭😂😂😂
-
Yeah, tried that, doesn't really attenuate the signal that much tbf, I'll have to try it with my passive bass to see if it is a hot output causing the issue

NPD - EHX Bass Clone, Fancied using a bit of chorus, so purchased this one, after a good read up. Arrived yesterday, stuck on my board and off to practice last night. I use a Warwick Thumb BO with Active MEC pickups, It farts out, is there only way I can describe it, I guess it doesn't like active passes, the only way I can get it to sound "normal" is by turning down the volume of my bass quite significantly, which defeats the object really. Any one else experienced this? Or any ideas how to resolve

Thinking back I've pretty much always had a sansamp pedal in one form as far back as I can remember. Programmable BDDI BDDI Deluxe VT Deluxe Fly Rig SH-1 For the past 2/3 years now I've had the BDDI v2 and probably won't ever not use it, unless they make a v3 with something new?! Anyway. My setting. VOL - 9 o clock, Gain around 10/11 for a slight warmth (tally with vol for unity gain.) Blend on Full, Treble at 3 o clock, presence 1 / 2 o clock Mids (500) at 3, bass (80) at around 1 / 2. Last in the chain, just makes everything sound alive.
