Never reviewed anything before so bear with. Over the years I've had several of Tech 21's gear, BDDI Deluxe, VT Deluxe, Programmable BDDI, Bass Fly Rig, DuP Fly rig, BDDI v2. A Sansamp pedal has always been on my board in one form or another. I've always wanted a fly rig with a tuner and another channel of use able grit, so when this was announced I had to get it asap. Build wise, as you would expect from Sansamp, roughly the same size as the DuP, although it's been a while since i had one, I think this may be slightly taller. Tough metal housing and decent nobs. Sound wise, well i am using this to replace a BDDI v2, it took a grand total of 2 minutes tweaking to replicate "my sound". Bass is good plenty of +/-, the mids are fantastic, the treble on the other hand, i didn't find did much unless the "bite" button was engaged, I didn't see this as an issue, think of it as the presence nob on other variations. Gain goes from nice and clean to breaking up much like the BDDI, This is where i found the 2nd channel handy, utilises the same EQ but you have a second gain and volume for this, you can crank the gain to break up and then fine tune the unity volume to match or just have it slightly boosted over the 1st channel. I haven't messed around with any of the suggested settings, not really fussed about that 🙂 All in all if you want an amazing sounding pre amp, with a Tuner / DI / Speaker sim as well as a 2nd channel for boosting or breaking up then this is ideal. Used this at a gig Saturday night, got a great sound dialled in and felt i "cut through" better than prior with the Bddi V2, although i could just have "new pedal sounds awesome syndrome" Could anything be made better? well that's down to personal preference, I'd probably say have a 2nd EQ for the 2nd channel, but absolutely nothing wrong with how it is now! Pedal board from Saturday, loads of room now! thanks Stofferson!

Sheffield 02 Main stage, Birmingham 02 main stage, Sophie Stage at Bloodstock this year. Totally agree man but these types of gigs are not based on us as a band alone so quick change overs, no roadies and not our own engineer, I cant rely on the monitor mix, now don't get me wrong, 99/100 is awesome, but i do like to hear it behind me just in case, Camden Underworld would be awesome, although not yet played it, got Electric Ballroom next year though. Edit, Still getting used to these big stages, so I dont disagree with you good sir, we're just in a not position financially to get rid of the rigs, nor have the sound check and tech team to ensure smooth sound for us and out front 🙂 The road is hard and full of many lessons

Had various cabs over the years, Had an ABM 810, sounded ace, but space and weight meant it wasn't meant to be. Using a Barefaced Four 10 now, perfect mix of loud and small, (in comparison to other 4x10's) light and kicks out a storm. That being said, whenever I have played "bigger stages" there's usually several 810's etc rented for the show by the tech's so would I need to get something myself to handle shows like that? it's always been sorted, but for the day to day usual pub/club gigs, my set up works a treat and an 810 would be over kill, especially when you're trying to keep costs down, travel in the same car etc. IEM's, currently as a band we cant afford a decent set up, then factor in multi band bills / 15 minute changeovers, being the band requested to provide back line to share for gigs etc. Unless IEM's became a the "norm" rather than 412's and bass stacks etc. That's something for the future for us. Don't get me wrong, we would love an IEM set up, just not feasible for the situation I am in, tbf never tried them either so i can really say anything negative about them only what I have witnessed via other bands using them. Plus I love "feeling" the bass kick me in the back and to p1ss of our guitarist 🙂

Should sound fat as feck through a 212 man, had a Barefaced big twin 2 for a while and sounded beast, the E'q i find is sensitive and intuitive, once you get your head around the nuances you can dial in some killer tone!

Hi dude Been using an ABM 600 since January, played through many different cabs on my travels, but my own cab is now a Barefaced 4 x 10. Plenty of heft, and it almost touches on those old school British Trace Elliot watts . . almost 🙂 Class A/B so a bit heavier than little mark class D stuff, but will make up for it in great tone shaping and plenty of heft, I have to Keep up with a Huges and Kettner Tri Amp and it does so easily

If I had just 5 to chose from id have the below, I own some currently, would be a step down to 1 fuzz from 3 on my current board. Sansamp Bddi V2 / Or Sansamp SH-1 (once i have tried it) Sovtek Green Russian Deluxe (mids!!) Dunlop Geezer Butler Wah Micro Thumpinator Korg Pitch Black Tuner I got the Warwick rockboard patch cables with the flat heads, best I've used yet for durability and space saving. Power wise, I'd like a T rex classic, so I can power off a sturdy IEC cable rather than the 9 volters, I know board aint an option but i have the Rockboard with the MOD1 in it (is that cheating haha)

Simple riffs that repeat through whole song

She Sells Sanctuary - The Cult Only as i was "forced" to learn this in the covers band -
No worries, great amp, got that myself, If it's based on a weight issue, I'm sure this cab will sound great and does what it needs to for you
