  1. Tried a few of the RM cabs, great for the price and weight. Which head will you be running with this? its around £150 more for the ABM but 11kg heavier but a bit more response, but i don't think you'll notice much of a difference,
  2. January?? - 1200 watt class A/B head? to compete with my bloody g**tarists Tri amp 😂

  5. Hey dude, Deffo email Ashdown, they're amazing, I bought an ABM600 2nd hand from here too and had the same issue, although mine turned out to be just the valve that had gone, they suggested a dodgy pot and suggested either send it in for repair or they could send over the bits FOC if your handy with a soldering iron. 6. I Feel your pain, The pub covers band i am in are certainly not a wedding band either, but played our (originals bands) drummers Wedding the other week. Venue was sound didn't hear a hoot from them, The Wedding planner on the other hand, couldn't run a bath. Luckily the stage area was a marquee out back which wasn't being used until our party was in there, so we quickly chucked everything in there, set it up got changed and cracked on. Good luck though dude, even 45 mins to get it all sorted is a killer! Hope it goes well

  9. Thanks Guys, some great points here. it's not always a case of if it ain't there don't force it, I do in general struggle to break outside my usual box of licks so to speak. So any tips on breaking the mould is all welcome. Honestly, i just plug into garage band make a beat and see what comes out, sometimes with 'G***tar. I may be pushing myself to write a masterpiece every time as opposed to tinkering or jamming.
  10. Coming up to start writing for our 3rd album. I've never been a riff machine, but when i do come up with something, it fits well in our sound. lately it's just the same nuances around the blues scale, or harmonic minor and quite frankly it's boring. i'd say you always want to progress and grow through each of your albums, especially with the work and gigs we've done. A bit of a workaholic with my music stuff and always want to be doing something. Anyway, any tips on freeing the mind / fingers, inspirado?
  11. erm, Bandmix, Joinmyband, Gumtree, Facebook? local venues, friends etc.
  12. Ahh I see what you mean dude 😎
  13. I try an avoid batteries, most pedals of mine are bottom screwed and velcro'ed down, a spear for the bass is always handy mind.

  15. The first day i got mine, I had a gig with @doomed and his band, I had my Four ten, he had the Barefaced 2 x 15 (correct me if i am wrong lad!) Pure girth wise on the low end there wasn't much in it!, like @Deedee says, they sound phenomenal in comparison to other branded cabs.
  16. used this once, for payment at a pub gig as it was from the brewery, bit of a pain, but does work in the end, just need to sign up to it, then the venue/ or whoever is in charge or releasing the payment will send you a link/email or something like that . . sorry it was once and a while ago haha!
  17. Friday - Charity gig with originals band at the Hairy Dog Derby, was great made over £600 for the Teenage Cancer trust Saturday - Covers band gig, Local again, New Cross Sutton in Ashfield, . . .oh dear . . still got paid. Back hurts after lugging 5 speakers in and out of the car. 😞 all in all still fun

  19. Could be wrong, who knows, guess we'll see when it lands next month then!
  20. Emailed the UK Distribution, RRP and timings etc. Anyone need a kidney? I got 2??
  21. Originals band, once a week around 3/4 hours, write new stuff and talk business, Gigging at least a minimum of once a week, so rehearsing the set is't needed, Covers band, 2/3 times a year close to a gig to iron out any kinks, play through a couple of new ones, Gig sporadically once or twice every 2 or 3 months.
  22. Hi, Probably about 18 years off where you are now, i'm 32 I've been playing for 18 years, It's only the past 4/5 years it's become a lifestyle, 100+ gigs a year with our Originals band, moderate success and still chasing the "dream" Earn enough to cover costs e.g. fuel, merch stock up etc. day job pays for everything else. Love what i do but i know it's not sustainable at this level, realistically would we make it? not in this day and age haha, I do have amazing memories, experiences and plenty off the bucket list, I totally understand what you mean though. Maybe try something completely different? Perhaps something to get your teeth into to reignite any flames? teaching? band management or advice? certainly taking up Upright would be great, or perhaps studio work, take all the things you enjoy from creating music and remove the things you don't? i know a fair few musicians who just do studio stuff only, barely gig it live. Anyway, I hope you find what you're looking for 😎
