  1. Slight delay on mine. Had the head since last January, cab since last July. Never been happier!
  2. Looks the same on the surface, aside its bigger, has the output VU and the DI now on the back? The Site is updated with all the new stuff, the RM800 is back, an Original 500, and a 200 watt "ant" for pedal boards amongst more stuff
  3. Off the top of my head, it would be running a 3rd of the watts based on what it would put out at 4 ohms? Correct me if i am wrong, i am no expert say your amp kicks out 200 Watts at 4 ohm minimum, at 12 ohms, its would be around 67 watts. Probably not noticeable but you'd want to give the speakers more watts to be more efficient? They have the 12 ohm option on there so you can use multiple cabs for modular set ups. 3 x 12 ohm cabs will run at 4 ohm etc.
  4. Great condition, rugged powerhouse. Great for a band or artist. All channels and effect's fully working with no issues. 8. Been out ages aint it ? Pmt
  9. Thanks guys, i think I've sussed it (bad cable) Just a lot to go through and thankfully something simple, battery is fresh, just when you have two cables an amp, various pedals and patch cables etc. turns out it was just one of my long jacks, thanks for you're help!
  10. So, Rigged up for the gig last Friday, everything was cool, went to play and whilst line checking i was getting a drop in input gain. Aside from the obvious i'm not sure what it could be, I'll be annoying the neighbours later by setting up and going through each bit in my chain to find out. Bass is a Warwick thumb BO (2018 model i believe) into pedal board, then Ashdown Abm 600 head, hoping it's something simple / easy to fix, like a dodgy cable somewhere. on the board is, Micro Thumpinator > Xotic bb preamp > Boss Ls2 - Russin Muff, TC Octave pedal, > Geezer Wah > Sansamp SH1 > amp I don't think it's the amp, as i could see the drop in input gain on the input VU, I'm no techy, I wouldn't have though if there was an issue with the amp, it would choke at the input stage. So it's either the bass, cables or one of many pedals. Apologies for the Vagueness, nothing screams out yet, so ill check it and come back, not sure if anyone has had anything similar? Thanks
  11. Best thing to do dude is try them out, everyone has their own preference as well as what kind of style and tone they are looking for. Personally i'd go Ashdown, but that's my opinion 🙂
  12. thats the one, next to Bannermans i think aint it
  13. aye its awesome, playing back there again in Feb, always a cool day
  14. Never reviewed anything before so bear with. Over the years I've had several of Tech 21's gear, BDDI Deluxe, VT Deluxe, Programmable BDDI, Bass Fly Rig, DuP Fly rig, BDDI v2. A Sansamp pedal has always been on my board in one form or another. I've always wanted a fly rig with a tuner and another channel of use able grit, so when this was announced I had to get it asap. Build wise, as you would expect from Sansamp, roughly the same size as the DuP, although it's been a while since i had one, I think this may be slightly taller. Tough metal housing and decent nobs. Sound wise, well i am using this to replace a BDDI v2, it took a grand total of 2 minutes tweaking to replicate "my sound". Bass is good plenty of +/-, the mids are fantastic, the treble on the other hand, i didn't find did much unless the "bite" button was engaged, I didn't see this as an issue, think of it as the presence nob on other variations. Gain goes from nice and clean to breaking up much like the BDDI, This is where i found the 2nd channel handy, utilises the same EQ but you have a second gain and volume for this, you can crank the gain to break up and then fine tune the unity volume to match or just have it slightly boosted over the 1st channel. I haven't messed around with any of the suggested settings, not really fussed about that 🙂 All in all if you want an amazing sounding pre amp, with a Tuner / DI / Speaker sim as well as a 2nd channel for boosting or breaking up then this is ideal. Used this at a gig Saturday night, got a great sound dialled in and felt i "cut through" better than prior with the Bddi V2, although i could just have "new pedal sounds awesome syndrome" Could anything be made better? well that's down to personal preference, I'd probably say have a 2nd EQ for the 2nd channel, but absolutely nothing wrong with how it is now! Pedal board from Saturday, loads of room now! thanks Stofferson!
