Moving house. Thinning things out. Strings in packages most likely used and already had been fitted to basses. Some new strings. Lots of flatwounds. The higher end flatwounds fitted to a Rickenbacker so....2x2 on the headstock and string cut. Sure SM58, Vtone Bass Driver DI, New Rickenbacker SD pick up set. Not sure the VOX headphone thingy works. No back to irig pedal.
Nice EMG jazz pick up set. Look closely and what you see is what you get.

1974 Jazz Bass body that used to be for a micro tilt 3 bolt plate, but converted to 4 bolt some time in it's history.
It has the original finish on the front and sides that you can see has seen lots of use (abuse?). The paint is checked in a wonderfully old school way that only a bass that's over 40 years old can show. The back has a newer spray of off white nitro.
Being Ash and 70's it is heavy. But that makes for a great sounding bass in my opinion. When I had this built up, it was a tone monster.

Built this up a few years back using a Alder body from BooBoo guitars. The control rout is slightly off hence it was sold as a second. I sanded it down and finished it in Sunburst Nitro. It's an OK job. Makes for a great gigging bass.
The neck is a American Performer neck that has the original tuners, but someone had put vintage tuners on it for some reason so I filled and refinished the back and went with the standard American Fender tuners. These necks have the carbon reinforcement rods for extra stability.
GZR P bass pick ups and custom loom.
Great gigging bass with quality components at a bargain price. Sounds and plays great. Comes with gig bag.

I bought this over 5 years ago and used it with my 60's band in conjuction with my Ric and P bass. Great bass for that genre...or any genre!
Somewhere way back when ( I was told the bass player for Lonny Donegan did this in 1972) he replaced the neck with a 1959 Senator that was kicking around. Of course I only have what the previous owner told me, but he's a reliable source. So there is some key pedigree to this bass as when Lonnie toured in the early 70's his bass player used this bass.
Bass plays well and pick up and pots all work. Sounds fantastic. Bridge is a replcement and not original.Comes with new set of tuners (only installed as the original ivory broke on it. (It's included as well.
Serial number 1531
Because this bass has such an abundance of mojo, it's going for cheap!
Really don't want to ship this, but could. Happy to meet up near South coast or half way to London. Headed to Plymouth over the weekend May 25th if anyone down there is interested.
Moving and this needs to go to a good home.

Very timely. I've just been playing it as is. I did heat the neck and back bend it a few years ago and seems to work well. Now listing for sale as we speak as I'm moving!

Can I ask this same question please? Can't see a reply..? Is it a residue of some sort? Can it be cleaned off?
Not sure. I think it's just sticker residue. I'll check it out and get back to you.

Fancy a semi? and a bit of cash my way?
Ooh. That is lovely. I do love a good Starfire and probably would have done a trade if it weren't for moving house and doing a big clear out.
Nice playing in your video BTW.

Picked this up locally here on Basschat from a wonderful seller (my second bass from him).
Great bass, but I'm moving and need to clear a few things out and I'm sticking with my Am. P bass.
This one plays and sounds wonderful. In my opinion, not your typical jazz neck. Ever so slightly chunkier. Feels great.
Weight: 4.5kg.
Can drive within reason for local sale. Selling for what I bought it for.
From the previous seller:
Hi guys,
For sale is my beautiful Maruszczyk Jazz Bass (reputation precedes). Hopefully the pictures do It justice. Its hard to get detailed intel on this bass as I believe many of them are made to order, and I bought It second hand a few years back. If anyone has any more knowledge or a way to trace using serial number I would be very grateful 🙂
Cosmetic markings shown in pictures. Few marks on the headstock, but rest of the bass is in great condition. Plays great, sounds great and the Aguilar pickups really pack a punch.
Rosewood Fretboard
Maple Neck
1.5" Nut
21 Frets
Tortoise Shell Pickguard
Comes with a Fender gig bag. Strung with DR Hi-Beams.

What is the DI quality like?
I never used it live. Only plugged it in once and then realised my Helix was the one to keep because I had more options with it. But it does get rave reviews.

Attention all stations. Need to clear house. Now £999 shipped UK.
I've been on a jazz bass kick lately and realised I'm really digging my PJ, so my jazz bass collection is going through a cull.
This is such a fantastic instrument. The specs are as follow:
Specifications
Body: Ash.
Finish: Aged Natural.
Neck: Maple.
Scale Length: 34"
Frets: 20 Vintage Style.
Nut Width: 1.5"
Pickups: Fender '75 Jazz Pickups.
Bridge: American Vintage with Steel Barrel Saddles.
This bass was stripped professionally and sprayed with Daphne blue nitro....which looks fantastic if I do say so.
It is strung with d'Addario Pro Steels and these strings combined with the EMG J pick ups sounds fantastic.
There is a rout (nicely done) under the scratch plate for the EMG's. I don't have the original pick ups, but can include Lindy Fralin 70's Jazz pick ups and harness if you would like to add those on or swap for the EMG's.
Hardly any wear shows on the frets and truss rod works as it should.
Weighs in at 9.2 pounds (4.2kg)
Includes all the case candy and original case and black scratchplate.

I had one spontaneously regenerate into two basses. Not sure how it happens, but it did.
So the AV '75 is the keeper. But, it was a hard decision as this HWY One is such a nice bass and plays and sounds fantastic.
Nitro paint and this model has the carbon neck reinforcement rods.
Being nitro and obviously well loved and played, it does show some significant mojo...meaing blemishes from play wear etc. I think it looks cool. You're opinion may be otherwise!
Stock wiring and pick ups from what I can tell. Added the tort scratch plate. Original white included.
Comes with generic gig bag but will be boxed well for shipping if needed. I have a gig in South London if interested in meeting up this Saturday with a free ticket to the show if interested. Carnabyarmy.com.
