  1. Speaking of Thomann: Pigtronix Octavia Fuzz Micro is on sale at the moment, just £42. I’m tempted - the full size pedal gets the nod from @Al Krow here.

edit: and they were all gone by Friday evening!

  2. I see Thomann have some interesting pedal bargains at the moment e.g.

    • Pigtronix Gatekeeper, Chromatic Tuner, Octava Micro Fuzz or Philosopher’s Tone Micro = £42 each
    • Super 1313 Analog Delay = £66
    • Line6 DL4 Mk.II Silver Anniversary = £174
    • Hotone Ampero Mini = £139
    • Peterson StroboClip HD = £34.

    Not including shipping, of course!

  3. That's all I use mine on. One thing that gets kind-of overlooked about Klons is that the Gain control is essentially a Blend control. It's not quite that simple electronically, but I can hear no difference between zero gain and bypassed tones.

If you're interested in the circuit details, there's a good analysis here. There are actually three signal paths: the distortion section, feed-forward network 1 (which sends some clean lows forward) and feed-forward network 2, which comes in more as gain is reduced, balancing the distortion stage.

  4. I wouldn’t say that is the absolute cheapest Klone out there e.g. you can get a Mosky Golden Horse for about £30. I have the dual mode Silver Horse version which adds a nice little mid boost at low gain.
