  1. Thanks folks. GAS got the better of me and an AH-500_7 is now in a van on its way to me
  2. I own a 2008 passive Jabba 4. Fantastic Instruments.
  3. Orange Terror Bass 500W, Hybrid Amp with brand new luxury leather carry case. These amps have more than enough power for any live situation. 4 and 8 ohm switchable (without any loss of power at 8ohms), effects loop, 3 band eq. 2 brand new new Electo-Harmonix 12AX7 tubes installed (I'll include the old Orange ones). Savage tone, VERY VERY loud. One of the screws at the back used to open the top for valve replacement is cross threaded but there are 9 in total, so this only a cosmetic thing really. The leather carry case is worth £70, the original nylon one fell to pieces. This is a very cool amp going at a great price. I'm based in Ireland but can ship to UK at buyers expense.
  4. Hi There, Just looking at all the lightweight class D heads on the market at the moment. A lot of great stuff out there and I do appreciate the portability of it all but I miss the assuring solidity of Trace Elliott gear. Owned a 7215 SMC 300W combo a good few years ago, It was a tank of an amp and never missed a beat but sold it on to buy lighter stuff. I've always kept an eye out for the AH500/600 heads since and would like a more solidly built heavier amp. I see one or 2 of them for sale. Just wondering if anyone ever tried one of these. I already have a great Ashdown CTM-100 valve head and am looking for cleaner sound with more head room to compliment it.
  5. Would you ship to Ireland? Thinking about Trading in my Orange TB-500. I'm looking for a cleaner sounding amp. Would that be a fair description of this head?
  6. Well worn but perfectly functional 10" bass guitar cabinet . One 10" driver. Punchy little cab good for rehearsal or small gigs. 250w at 8 ohm. Price excludes shipping cost .
  7. Barely used perfectly functioning high power mid to low mid range pa or bass cabinet speaker . Prices exclude shipping. Please contact me for that . Heavy ferrite speaker . 500w at 8 ohm impedance.
  8. Had a bugera 300w SVT copy at one stage . I think it was a b stock from thomann. Had a bunch of 6550 power valves. Weighed 36kg . Sounded massive and really well built. Not exactly point to point hand soldered inside but hey it was €400 or something . Only had it for a few months it was just too heavy and I never fully trusted it .
  9. I have the CTM-100. Would love to her how 6 * 6L6s will compare to 2 * KT88s. This amp looks like a serious work horse of an amp...really tempted.
  10. 3 pedals to go. Two are Harley Benton (Thomann own brand pedals) Delay and Tremolo, used for 1 - 2 'Art' gigs but practically new otherwise. Perfectly functional and sounding great. The third pedal is a Lo-Fi reverb pedal, not as 'unused' as the others but still working perfectly with lots of options and setting. Apologies but the photo of the reverb pedal is a stock photo, I can take an actual photo of the item for sale, might have one or 2 scratches on it but identical otherwise. Would prefer to shift the 3 together but can sell individually at £20ea. Prices exclude postage (£10 to UK), PayPal only please.
  11. Please leave feedback below, thanks .
  12. Great to deal with, prompt payment received with no nonsense . Thanks Nick for easy intro to selling on Basschat.
  13. Hi Bill Do you think I will get more 'bang' out of a 2 * 12 cabinet? The cab I'm looking at is a Mark Bass Ninja 212. Although you've indicated that sensitivity specs are generally suspect it is rated at 103db SPL, which seems pretty high to me. In addition its rates at 800W which means I can comfortably run my 500W terror bass on it also.
  14. Yeah, I'm only shifting it because I need a one cab, 500+w solution to my rig. I sold the 1 * 15" version last year. Another great cab.
  15. Genz Benz Focus ft 2*10" .300w 8ohm .sensitivity 97db. Excellent lightweight cabinet .See Ed Friedland, the bass whisperer's glowing review on the series below. Really sturdy construction for 'budget' cabs. Very responsive cab with tweeter attenuation adjustment. Plenty of grunt for small/medium gigs. I can ship to UK at buyers expense. Contact me for shipping quote but should be no more than £30. PayPal only
  16. Anyway Ive seen a mark bass 212 that might fit the bill. It's the largest cab I can go with.
  17. Hi Chris, its a Genz Benz focus cab ceramic. Its a low budget cab but it sounds great and has never let me down. I'm looking a Markbass Traveler 210 that looks quite neat.
  18. HI Bill thanks for your insights. I am currently using a 2*10 8ohm which I am quite happy with otherwise. If I were to get a second 2x10 and daisy chain the 2. Would this solve my issue? Another question. My head had a 2 / 4 and 8 ohm output (one of each). I think If I daisy chain the 8 ohm cabs and use the 4 ohm output I'll have matched the impedance? With regards to low end. As long as I can have a fairly decent punch for small size gigs I'll be happy. I not a 5 string player.
  19. I was just looking them already today incl Glockenklang
  20. Hi Folks I have a lovely 100W Ashdown CTM-100 all tube head, but due to storage and transport constraints I need something small that is sensitive enough to squeeze as mush volume from its as possible. I just don't think 100W is enough grunt to drive a 300W cab that's rated at 97db /1W / 1M. Im addicted to tubes but dont fancy lugging around a 36kg SVT around. The CTM is the ideal size for me...Id just like it to have a bit more clean headspace through a smaller package....Am I looking for a Unicorn cabinet? I'm after a cab of size 210 / 115 or 112. Any recommendations are would be really appreciated.
