  1. Is that the case whether or not you sing? I always thought it was mouth open for singers but closed for anyone else.
  2. I'm going to order those too. Similar reason, and, in addition, great for camping.
  3. I've done it! I qualified although it's been many years since I earned my living from music. I still have a 25 year old pair of custom ER15 earplugs, but they might just be past their best. Just need to book the he appointment now. Thanks for this. Appreciate it.
  4. G&L 1st Celinder 2nd Ray 3rd The G&L sits so well with other instruments. It's dirty & funky. A touch too much sparkle on the other two demands too much attention and they sit too high in the mix though maybe some eq would help.
  5. I thought the Jazz sat better in the mix.
  6. Quite agree. He explains things very well! I'll be checking out his other material.
  7. Very soulful. So intense I'd had enough before the end of the song!
  8. The Kiss, recorded live for The Old Grey Whistle Test is very moving. Judee Sill had a short tragic life.
  9. And a live version: Saw them live at the end of last year in Kings Cross. Awesome.
  10. Understated but with soul. Nice guitar playing too.
  11. Seldom have I read a more entertaining classified ad. The bar has been raised. Chapeau!
  12. Best thing about this is your vocal: It seems to draw me in a la Lou Reed. For the arrangement I'm hearing harmonium instead of guitar, percussion (maybe shakers and congas) instead of drum kit, and double bass in place of the electric bass. Or maybe no bass at all? Nice! I look forward to your next offering.
  13. Agreed. It's certainly excellent news. Fingers crossed all the next stages go well!
  14. Yes, you missed it. Effectiveness, cost and practical advantages are covered in other articles too. It looks like fair and balanced factual reporting to me. https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/health-55040635
  15. Very nice Sir.
  16. Yes, orange is quite good!
  17. Useful and informative. Thanks!
  18. Some nice playing there Ben. 👍
  19. The Diamond Bass compressor. So simple and natural sounding it sprinkles fairy dust on your sound and has a surprisingly useful eq tilt nob with switchable frequency centre.
  20. Time to reactivate this thread... Great live version too.
  21. That's a great sound and inventive, proficient playing. Thanks!
  22. I just love watching that guy on the vids. Tim? What's his story?
  23. An 'always on' compressor for me. It adds a professional sheen to my sound. Good luck with your sale.
  24. I saw them at the Brixton whatever-it's-called-now a couple of years ago and the sound wasn't that good. Ronnie's will be an altogether different proposition. I so much prefer smaller gigs, for the sound and the atmosphere. And you can see the sweat! Large stadium gigs leave me cold. So do pyrotechnics and such shenanigans.
  25. Monday early show for me! Anyone else? Great venue to see such a world class band. Can't wait...
