1.
A flute will never be better than the bagpipe solo in Its a Long Way To The Top. IMHO of course.
Super cool. But flute in Jethro Tull is awesome too!
 2.
It's all just personal taste. I don't like them. There, no harm done. Saw them live back in 1992, bored me to tears. Have to play Highway to Hell and Whole Lotta Rosie at every gig we do too which doesn't fill me with joy either. There's about twelve other bands named in this topic who I really like. I don't get some of the hate, but it's nice to get to five pages and no one's had a slanging match. Yet
I totally get that personal taste things. There's a lot of bands that I choose not to listen to. There's only one I dislike - Kings of Leon - don't know why, I've heard few notes from them on the radio and couldn't stand it since. I don't know the songs, and there were few moments when I asked somebody to change the station on the radio, and I didn't even know it was them until somebody told me. Alot of bands/artists mentioned here are "overrated" by personal taste. I also think an awful lot of them worked really hard to get where they are, and thats what I respect even if I don't like their music. Kings of Leon obviously didn't work hard, that's for sure ;-)
 3. Hello, Bit of a long shot... But, anyone from Exeter coming down to the bass bash? There is an amplifier I like, and I would ask you to buy it for me. Please let me know. I'll pay for trouble and petrol.
 4. Very interesting thread. I don't get how AC/DC can be overrated. They came up with something fresh (sound wise), established that, wrote countless awesome hard rock songs and never changed. Not to mention that they sound much better live than they do on the albums. And what a great name for a rock n roll band :-) Ok, they had some help along the way but still, I think they deserve the fame they get.
 5.
I recommend listening to a tune called Weird Part of the Night by Louis Cole, it combines everything that's great about Knower. There's jazz, funk, 80's / Prince, 90s techno and straight up pop music influences in there, all squished up and injected full of weirdness and humour. I'm on a phone so I can't post it but it's a tune.
Very cool tune. I like how his microphone is wired but he walks down the street... Brilliant
Give a man a fish and he will not be hungry but give a man a fishing rod?
My thoughts exactly. I've never bought a Shecter though....
I bought some cod, it was a fry day.
I bought a proper fishing rod back in 2006. Never used it. It was in a local shop too.
 8. When you pick this bass up and play, you can feel it's not a Fodera.
 9. Looks like a great deal https://www.gumtree.com/p/guitar-bass-amplifiers/mark-bass-2x15-amp-with-littlemark-ii-head/1265605102
 10. Great stuff. http://basschat.co.uk/topic/311432-knower/
 11. How do you know it plays great if it's never been played? ;-) Looks good, good luck with the sale!
 12. Got a book from Paul, easy communication, safely packaged. Thank you very much.
 13.
Offers and trade propositions posted in 'For Sale' ads are systematically deleted. 14. Got some muting foam and a BC pick from Mick recently. A great guy to deal with. All the best.
 15. I have a JV exactly like the 1 and 3 and it's one of the best P Basses I've played. Great prices too. 3 keepers right there guys. Good luck with the sale.
 16. Wow, that color looks nasty! Love it! Good luck with the sale!
 17. Hello Nelson. My girlfriend is Portuguese. You guys have beautiful culture. Enjoy it here, it's great.
 18. Very impressive. But same as the one I shared - I watch it, drop my jaw and probably never come back again...
 19.
It's hardly that surprising that identical quadruplets will have similar talent on bass.
:-)))
 20.
Who are you using ? Are you sure you are using the correct units ? I've used DPD and ups without issues recently
That's what I use. They seem to be really good with large and heavy parcels.
 21.
I have just received an additional charge from Parcel2Go for a parcel I sent last month. They are claiming that I owe an extra £9.50 because it was larger that I stated on my original form. Now I'm 99% certain I didn't muck this up because I measured at least three times to be sure but I can't access the original form to see if I'm correct. Should I pay this or ignore it?
Had the same thing recently. Took photos with the measure stating that it's impossible (they claimed my parcel was over 150cm long and it was like 127cm) and that it must be a mistake. Few hours later I got a reply that it was indeed a mistake and they took the charge off my account.
 22.
Perhaps, by offering the item at a low price or nearest offer, to generate interest, then invite interested parties to present their offer, is a way of creating an eBay style auction without the fees.
Possible. I don't think it's fair though. I'm pretty sure that in my cases, the sellers did not know what they have. Like a 1964 Bandmaster Blackface I bought - lady listed it for £40 at first :-) I think I bought it for £350 at the end.
