1. Neck straight, but not so straight, slight relief. For me low is the lowest I can get without the strings buzzing anywhere. The lowest I've had was a Manne Newport Satin Bass, that was around 1.3mm on the E string, above the fret where the neck joins the body. My P bass is just over 2mm and that is low for me too.
2. I like it. It's catchy. The bass could be a little louder/more exposed but everything works fine together. I do not have facebook though, so no voting for me... All the best!
3. Still available
4. Oh, thanks. I don't know how publishing works - can I buy it off you? Or is it not worth it?
5. That's cute. Good luck with the sale!
6. This is amazing, thank you so much. Have a listen to SRV - Couldn't stand the weather, I've always thought the bass line is pretty busy in that one... Tommy Shannon, great player.
7.
Almost...I reserved for buyer, but he gave up at last..
Sorry to hear that, good luck with the sale.
8.
Ah yes I miss her indeed, a lovely player - really liked this bass and was a good close resemblance of my old 74.
'74? I was sure you said '75! (I hope Luke doesn't want his money back!)
9. My friend buys/sells on discogs too. I think he said it's international, so you'll never know where it will go. Get your packaging ready.
10.
Interesting suggestion, not sure if I'm a fan of the painted body though.
Dont look at the white falcon then! :-)
11. I thought this sold few days ago?
12. Oh yes! That jazz. Fantastic bit of kit for the money! Good luck with the sale Luke.
13. What about Gretsch? I played few from that range and they are outstanding quality and sound fantastic. https://www.thomann....CFUW3Gwod9rYMcQ
14. Oh yes, great movie. And the soundtrack is amazing - Hans Zimmer, Lisa Gerrard.
15. Hi folks, I got a bass recently. And I thought I will get rid of it shorty after. However, the bass seems to be of exceptional quality and it sounds very cool. The neck part of the instrument is perfect. But the body... It appears that previous owner has painted the pickup covers - not too much harm done. But the body. I think it's been refinished. Or the original finish was in bad condition and somebody sanded it down a lot. And now it looks weird. Can anyone tell from the photos what finish is it? I am considering getting it refinished when I get some spare money. Or maybe just stripping it down to the wood? Would that be possible? Here are the photos: https://photos.google.com/share/AF1QipP6GUddJ63Go0m89AG8b7ioK1PmyLFzGZLQoIuEtqehbsLyV7_P8zIh600-2tJ-bQ?key=SHByVFF2SFNRLTFuR2V6b0M5dVpEWVJLZlBaNUJ3 Thanks!
16. Cool, makes me think of that scene from Gladiator when he strokes the grass/wheat with his hand. Like coming home sort of thing.
17. Sold a pedal to Max, instant payment, good communication. Thank you for the transaction.
18. I would happily pay 450GBP for it if it's good to go.
19. Now 500GBP Got it recently in a trade, like it a lot but way too small for me. And my girlfriend doesn't play enough to justify keeping it :-) The body is made out of mahogany, the top is poplar. The neck is maple with a rosewood fingerboard. Weight is around 3.2kg. Pickups are Bartolinis. The controls are passive with stacked knob for volume and balance plus normal knob for tone. The bass sounds lovely, but I am quite a big guy, and it's just feels like a toy. The body is brand new. The neck is about a year old. It was first designed as a five string on a four string neck. Came out to be too narrow. Previous owner has put a wooden pick to cover the 5th hole. I think it's a good idea. You can see the photo from Public Peace and with an empty hole it looks odd. Comes with a nice, solid padded gigbag.
20.
I have no idea how to do that or I would of done it a long time ago.. I wrote SOLD in the thread
Just click ''edit'' and then go to ''use the full editor'' or something like that. That allows you to edit the topic.
21. Got it recently in a trade, used several times at home, has a proof of purchase, I think it's still on warranty. Don't need it, priced to sell. PM me if you want it posted - no problems.
22.
Wish I had the money for something like this. Just love how late 60's and 70's P-basses look and sound.
This has been sold. Wish the seller would edit the topic...
23. Wow, Rick... You are like Bonamassa of basses, aren't you? Not that he doesn't have any. Seriously lovely collection. How much are the tickets to visit your museum?
