I love the craftsmanship behind this. He always said that he knows his place and he’s doing his job the best he can. The engine of AC/DC. And he does fills too... like 2-3 per gig.

So, I'd go for something from Thomastik, like their Roundwounds or Superalloy. Straight from the pack - they're warm but they have everything you'd want from the roundwound. And oh, they are funky. To me anyway 🙂

To me, it means to have the same feel, make the drummer sound good and just to sort of ''lock in'' to create this lovely thing called ''rhythm section''.
It is extra money and it has to be spent in one go - it is quite an expense.
But on the other hand, it blows my mind how cheap it is. 6 months = 18 weeks / 18 lessons or so. Let’s say the course is $150, that’s just over $8 per lesson. Where can you get lessons that cheap from such a great teacher?
Obviously, some people prefer face to face. I don’t think I do.
I won’t be signing up for the technique accelerator.
