guitar tuners generally aren't strong enough to handle bass strings. But there really is only ONE way to know for sure...... at worst , if they don't suit, you could put em on a six string , after buying two more, of course.

do you have a graphic equaliser in your setup? Try boosting the bass and cutting the high frequencies. can you tell us what the song is?
