1. Fight back, every time with stuff like this. Stupid/drunk punters, who think musicians are there for them to abuse, are often shocked that a band member will leave the stage and pursue them half way across town......
2. I have, many times.....
3. Mostly used that Rick copy live for 'the look' (Weller used Ricks). Nearly all Jam recordings were a P
4. Bruce Foxtons Ricky was a copy. He did most of The Jam stuff on a Precision, which he still does.
5. Graham Parkers cover of Hold Back The Night (pink vinyl)
6. Richie McCracken in Taste rocking that white Precision was a massive influence on my early playing
7. 1st reply says it all really. I use a QSC PLX2402 which is class H. Plenty of power, not too heavy. Just check that you pre-amp has enough output to drive your power amp, which my SRW Grand Prix does with no problem in this set up.

Compressors

For a bit of old school optical compression, I can recommend the SGFX Imperial. Can be very fat and adds its own character, a lot like McCartneys sound on Taxman
9. Try The Marcus King Band for a modern funky approach.
10. I've yet to play with a drummer outside of Texas that can nail it. Most bass players play it wrong as well
11. These work great for 2U heads: http://gatorcases.com/lightweight-micro-keyboard-bag/
12. I've got a couple of these, excellent value! Great fit for P and J bass: http://www.flightcasewarehouse.co.uk/industry/product.asp?item=spider-universal-deluxe-bass-guitar-hard-case-7088-3980
13. That is a bargain. EVO II's are great amps

SWR

The SWR Grand Prix is surely one of the best pre-amp's there has been.

16. Mallet finger - ouch!! I bet that stopped you playing for a while if it was your middle finger?? Did it fully heal? I know that it can be a very long process.
17. AGK K92
18. Gallien Krueger RB 700-II. Just tips the scales for you (but only just) and just under 500w, 480w I believe, but a really great amp - I may get another....
19. Once had a singer start singing the wrong song. The crazy thing was that such was his mental block, he knew he was wrong but couldn't stop - he managed most of the first verse before the rest of us stopped playing.
20.
A 200w tube head would be the size of a standard big 'ol tube amp, it's the power tubes that restrict the size capabilities. Why do you think people went solid state? As it is a 150w tube amp is massive and heavy, adding another 50w in tube terms would make it even bigger and heavier.
Thats what I was suggesting (albeit in response to a micro amp comment). Without igniting a valve vs solid state debate, given the quality and tone of DHA pre amps, I for one would go for a good all valve head from him.
21. Surprised to see this still here - wish I still had mine. GLWTS
22.
Speaking of mini...what chance any manufacturer producing a 200W+ pedal board power amp? Something this sized, but geared to bass players: http://www.quilterla...e/microblock-45 I suspect this would create a storm!
Or a 200w all tube head??!!
