Amazon ripped off a group of disabled kids in an after school group,I help out with. The kids had spent 18 months raising money by collecting cans, making and selling badges etc etc. Amazon screwed them for £150 and when trading standards got involved told them they were too big to sue and sadly trading standards said they probably are. There is nothing in this world I need desperately enough to use those scumbags.

As it is the legal duty of farmers to clear the road of animal excrement then I think it’s perfectly reasonable that someone is asked to perform what they are legally obliged to do. Having lived my formative motorbike riding years in a village the lack of care of some farmers was disgraceful. My GSXR1100 was bought from the payout after my shoulder, collar bone and two ribs were broken after I hit a patch of sh1te on a dark night. The morons that complained about the clay pigeon site next to their nice new house were a different matter........

What a moron, everyone knows the only hole to use is the last one and then only with a strap extension on.

Smooth hound user here, great bit of kit. I get a good few hours battery life but always recharge before a gig just in case.

Love the Cure and this is one of the best I have heard them live.

Good for him! Sadly I think the rest of the band just weren’t on it. They didn’t seem interested. I am not the biggest fan to be fair but have always liked them in a ‘ turn up the car radio’ sort of way so it was disappointing to see such a lacklustre performance. Tell him he is wasted on them 😉

He is the only good thing though, they are appalling otherwise. And he is hardly putting on a ‘show’. If that’s what it takes to make the big stage these days..........

I have a cheap Ibby fretless with flats on and it makes the most fantastic mwaaahhh sounds. It was ok when I got it but a decent set up made the world of difference. It is set very low now which seems to help.

I was taught standard notation at school, if I am honest it bore no relation to music to me beyond plonking on a glockenspiel making a scale. I understand how it works and can translate from it but I certainly couldn’t play from the dots as I convert them to finger positions. I see tab as the middle ground - it’s what I do to notation to make it instantly playable. Maybe it’s just how my brain works.

You can have a rough as a bears backside finish even with gloss, that is purely down to the effort put into the wood first. It is completely irrelevant to the finish. If a surface is rough it won’t suddenly be smooth if you varnish it. That is 100% not unfinished wood.

That doesn’t look unfinished, it’s just had a satin finish which retains more of a natural look.

I use a Dunlop headphone amp, it's the size of a pedal. It’s a bit crap if I am honest but works ok for what it is.

How long do you get out of them out of interest? Just a rough idea would be useful. I have wondered about trying them, I presently use Warwick reads and get about 2 months and they come in at less than a tenner. That’s playing approx an hour a day on average.

I always take one, I have a cheap hohner travel bass for if I fly, booked on a Baltic cruise this summer and will take the jazz with me. Partly for practice but mostly because it’s something I enjoy. Some people read a book, I play bass. I have a Dunlop pedal amp that works ok. I do get some funny looks though and was asked which of the bands I was in on the last cruise.

No mention of Lou Reed yet? I think the grunts on relax may have been the tipping point for the beeb. Seems incredibly tame now!
