  1. Power supply is (allegedly) good for 1800mA, I run a tuner, kill switch (LED only so no draw when off), chorus, overdrive and ditto so hardly close to that in theory. I will have a go tonight but guessing that will be the problem.
  2. Looked at spalted beech. There is a gorgeous bit I will get if it’s still there next pay day. Then a darker back, possibly sepele again if I can get another piece.
  3. I wondered about that, but partly discounted it as only the Spectracomp was on. Perhaps the other pedals are drawing current even though they aren’t on. I will unplug a few and see if it helps.
  4. i have been looking for nice woods and found some I can’t ignore. I have also decided on shape, but I will reveal that later. The next question then is, how skinny can a bass be? Working out a few things I am think in the region of 30-32mm which with a decent wood will give enough support for the neck. My guess is a through neck could be thinner but that is beyond my ability for now.
  5. I think I know the reason for this but after a second opinion as it is also a bit weird. I have a Mooer Reverb pedal I use very occasionally. Having a quick practice tonight ahead of a gig on Friday, go for the reverb and it just makes a loud and continual clicking noise, not the pop you sometimes get on switchover but a continual clicking. I am guessing this is some sort of interference with the shared power supply. I haven’t got an individual one I can test and it doesn’t take a battery to check. The only weird thing is that the pedal board has been in its current form for ages with the exception of the addition of a Ditto but AFTER the reverb. No other pedals on except the always on Spectracomp. So am I right to suspect the power supply? Or is the pedal borked?
  6. I am an engineer (chemical) and often use tight in reference to my work, to be fair it’s when describing the boss at the bar though.
  7. From my contact with you on here I know that you are a 100% genuine guy. I stopped selling on eBay after a bad experience. I now use shpock -collection only, cash in hand so much less chance of a scam. Of course here is perfect except for Ricks. And complain to eBay about the feedback, they will take it off.
  8. I have shoulder problems due to arthritis and use a strap from hypnotic straps, it’s 3” wide and very well padded. Despite my Gibson being the same weight as a boat anchor I don’t have issues.
  9. Our vocalist/ lead guitarist was George Harrison in a Beatles tribute until recently. He wore a wig, used contact lenses and they even spoke with Liverpool (ish) accents when speaking between songs or to each other.
  10. Things like this shouldn’t be allowed, it’s just too nice. Glwts
  11. I love the trace sound as well, but use the Barefaced cabs and orange terror 1000w unless it’s an easy load in. For the cost the trace wins.
  12. 0 miles, we practice at work after hours.
  13. That’s the USA, over here they are VERY different venues
  14. Welcome might be worth asking @Andyjr1515 about the routing.
  15. I have one, it is the final piece to make the system perfect for me.
  16. Weird question, but you don’t sell Capri parts by any chance as well? I know an ex Neil Diamond tribute act who is a Capri parts dealer now.
  17. When I was a kid we used to go to ‘the club’ on a Weekend. My abiding memory is of the bingo which the whole family, parents included, detested. As a 7yr old the kid the idea of standing still and not breathing for half an hour was torture. The place was a bear pit like the OP describes for performers. They were of variable quality, my favourite was a large lady who turned up with a portable tape deck with songs on a cassette, still with the original voices on and possibly taped form the radio (probably not but I like the idea). She then proceeded to murder each and every one of these songs. Halfway through the second set the batteries began to fail mid song and we had to wait for her to put four more D cells in and away she went. She was t even the worst. There were some amazing ones though but god forbid any band to be ‘a bit loud’.
  18. I have a Behringer 8500 and bass vocal range, it works incredibly well for me, especially as every other Behringer product I have come into contact with has been awful
  19. Slightly off topic but I find the DV247 website horrendous, it’s so hard to find anything on there. i haven’t used Tung oil, but have used all sorts of oils on a wide variety of woods over the year. The way I do the first coat is by finishing the prep, the doing a final rub over with very fine wire wool or 6000 grit pads then a generous wipe over with methylated spirit. Then leave for a short while and apply the oil using a very clean rag, old t shirt is ideal.
  20. Mustang Sally is THE one, I hate with an utter passion. Most Coldplay would have me quitting the band as well.
  21. I have the 1000w version and agree completely, it’s why I got it.
  22. Nope, that is to replace the standard three point Gibson style bridge. I have the same Studio model and love the bridge and have no issue getting a low string height. It’s adjustable via the grub screws like most bridges. I presume yours is bottoming out too early somehow?
