  1. Fortunately, you can report ebay listings of invisible/intangible items.
  2. Yep - the "Hey, I bet you've never seen this before!" routine is wearing a bit thin. I wish it was possible to ignore ebay sellers.
  3. That's 'cos it's not much like the brand that cannot be mentioned...
  4. Good point about the black - it has a black pickguard (which I am also stripping the paint off!)
  5. I’ve got one Warwick whose neck is too chunky; I’ve often thought about whether to trim it a bit.
  6. I take your comment and raise you a picture! ...and the description: That makes 3½ tuners to me!
  7. A set of 3½ tuners - bargain!
  8. I have a Minitaur & PK-5A pedals; I do have a 12-step, but haven't got 'round to programming it. I would like a T3, but that price does seem high. Mine did make an appearance at the last SE Bass Bash; see Sylvia's blog:
  9. I've got an old Vox Clubman bass I bought at a car boot, which had been over-painted. I've now sanded off the paint and am ready to re-finish it. It was a dark orange/red (not sure what the colour is called) and I don't know whether to try and get that (it's still in the pickup bays) or go for another colour, either a plum/burgundy or black. But before that, what's a good primer to use on plywood? My skills are up to the level of rattle-can, but the original probably wasn't anything better anyway.
  10. I've not, but I have a J-Retro in this Jazz and it is really good.
  11. Yep, that might be true. https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/bass-guitar-body-and-neck-1960-70s/333725012880

  13. Ugly+
  14. @stewblack was Hell Benton getting one!
  15. I've seen them - Street Level in Southsea sell them; they do look to be good budget instruments.
  16. Curiously, I may have seen him playing in a Beatles tribute band at Epcot (either him or the other top-notch faker-maker). He's going to be doing a bit of work on one of my fakers sometime soon-ish. AFAIK, all of the parts will be genuine ones. As far as selling goes, I think it being a custom build means its original delivery wasn't a transgression of any laws, but the selling of it with logo was (though since it's a one-off sale by an individual there's be no mileage in pursuing them).
  17. I've played one HB bass, @Jus Lukin's Precision, and the neck was too chunky for me. It seemed solidly made, though. Not in the same class as a MIM Fender, IMHO. I've played some Squiers and they have been pretty good; I sold an Affinity Precision for £60 and the buyer got a darned good bass for that money!
  18. Good point, well made! (I did buy another bass yesterday - I think that takes me to 30.) 🙂
  19. It looks like the nice grain on the front is a veneer, so I may refinish it; I'm thinking seafoam green.
  20. I picked this up yesterday...
  21. You could get a MIDI splitter (or whatever the opposite is for combining signals).
  22. The last thing I need is another bass amp!
