  1. My recentest acquisition... (Knackered bass bridge - getting a replacement.)
  2. On a technicality, "This does not effect function or safety at all" means that it doesn't cause function or safety...
  3. Maybe they're replacements - I've got an Affinity P and it's got the enclosed tuners. Mine's not a bad £50 bass.
  4. Chuck in a shiny old Vox and itd be a perfect storm.
  5. I had a discussion a while back with someone who said he couldn't be bothered with the spelling of a made-up name; I pointed out to him that it was the family name of a company which Fender acquired. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Squier
  6. Just going by what it says on the headstock... 🙂
  7. Specially when the ignorant sod can’t even spell its name properly.
  8. The picture is part of the description, so it doesn’t matter whether the text says it or not (or that it isn’t!).
  9. I think they are the best looking, sounding, and playing bass ever made. (But then again, I'm a Ricaholic...)
  10. A legend in their own lunchtimes.
  11. So, what is so great about The Beatles?
  12. Good yes, but not name-uttered-with-hushed-intake-of-breath great AFAIK.
  13. Yep - I came to that conclusion last night and ordered one! I tried swapping one string's worth of the parts from one of my Steinberger Spirits and they fitted, but it started grinding too, so it looks like the housing is affected as well, so better to just swap the whole thing (and keep the parts from the defunct one).
  14. If the tuners ever feel like they’re grinding.
  15. Yep - I need to keep my eye out for a used one. I think the previous owner had the strings too long and so overtightened the tuner.
  16. It was 3rd hand when I got it. I took off the zero-mod. (I tried it on a 4003 but didn’t like it.)
  17. Darn - it wasn’t just the screw, so I need a pull/claw thing.
