  1. Shame about the refin.
  2. Incidentally, I'm always looking out for more unnecessary bits to put in my parts box: pickups, tuners, neck plates, knobs, etc. So if you've got a box of junk it might be worth bringing it along.
  3. Hmmmm - Statii... ...or Rics?
  4. It's a bit too parquet for me.
  5. I had an SB-700 way back and I always thought it would make a great fretless.
  6. Sorry - coincidentally, the one in the OP is $5000...
  7. 5000 USD, it says (approx £3800)!
  8. I might bring a Rickenfaker along, with a real Ric TRC, just to see if folks can tell the difference...
  9. So, are they still available? 🙂 Incidentally, I had one I cut for a Rickenbacker many years ago; when I replaced that it was wrong for a Fender, but I found a new set of saddles at a recent event and had them for it; I think the Allparts Kickass parts are compatible too.
  10. Last time I went to Blackburn there was an accident on the motorway and it took hours to get back.
  11. SB700 = nice bass!
  12. It's cheaper than this one... https://www.gumtree.com/p/guitar-instrument/crafter-acoustic-bass-guitar-ba400eqn/1312972076
  13. PM'd re loaded Jazz control panel.
  14. Ugly sod, isn't it?
  15. Fer-fer-f-f-fer-um Flippin 'eck!
  16. Let's see what it goes up to...
  17. I might bring my wallet.
  18. Well, I've watched another Ovation one come and go on ebay. But then I was browsing whilst on the train and someone local was selling a cheapie, so I'm now the proud owner of a Redwood mandolin, for which I paid the princely sum of £20. (It does need a new string, though.) Just need to learn some shapes now...
  19. I tried MXR and Boss ones and the Aguilar beat them hands-down. It managed to keep the character of the note played in the octave too. However, the issue with the Aguilar (and analogue ones generally, I think) is the tracking and how low a note you can play on the bass. I do have a Markbass SuperSynth (aka SS), which has an octave function too. I'd like to have a go with a POG; I had a brief go on one when I bought the SS and it seemed OK (but it regenerates the notes).
  20. I'll try and remember to bring along my Agular Octamizer...
  21. Yep - I got to play a little bass with rubber strings, which sounded great!
  22. (It is a really good pedal - I have one, but I'm keeping mine!)
  23. I hear they're bad for yer 'Elf...
  24. I was trying to help you with an amp gag...
