Technical issue, not covered in documentation (in fact docs suggest their numbering starts at 1) or pre-sales, suggested a fix, bluntly told it's not their problem, 0/10. Not nice. But anyway - I only mentioned it because there had been an assertion that there had been no complaints. Your responses seem a bit aggressive: "it was your misunderstanding and inability to understand what actually was going" and a sarcastic "Nice".

If you're referring to my old issue: it's not an RTFM matter and I don't see mention of it in the marketing info.

'scuse me: I read "the 80s" !!!

That is absolutely incorrect. I have worked with binary data in networking, C development, and other areas (including designing a processor at Uni) and fully understand the issue. The issue is that there is an inconsistency across MIDI implementations, whereby some interpret the numbering to be 1-128 (ie first to 128th) whilst others use 0-127 (7 bits binary 0000000 to 1111111). Some devices have built-in handling of this; for example the MIDIBuddy has a 127/128 dip switch. My support request was whether this was or could be supported on the FI. I was told no and it's not Panda's fault the others have got it wrong. You are right though that I did not like that answer.

Yep - dead but not forgotten (0/10 for customer support). 🤨 It's just you said "I haven’t seen a single person who’s bought one complaining.". The mini housing looks like it still has a control knob right next to a footswitch.

"Rio" is a great bass line - great fun to play; I'm just going to pop into the next room and run through it. "Running In The Family" is another - I can't play that slap. "Come Back And Stay" brought Pino Palladino into the limelight. "When The Going Gets Tough" (aka. "go and get stuffed") is another. "Two Tribes" is a just great one by Trevor Horn, helped along by the American Football craze. But "Moving Pictures" was released in '81 and it's a whole album of great bass playing (and the rest!).

I had one, a v2 or v3, but I didn't receive a satisfactory response when I raised a technical query, which frankly put me off. The pedal itself is large (for the retro look); there was someone doing a smaller housing, but it left one knob really close to one of the footswitches and so wasn't 100%. I ditched it and bought a C4.

Ironically I'm due to go to a jam in a couple of weeks and 'Teenage Kicks' is on the list.

UK VAT applies if the item is being shipped to the UK, but local fees do not. Shipping fees apply if it's being posted. VAT applies to the item price plus shipping fees. Import duties apply if the item is not manufactured in the EU. If you or the seller have not paid the taxes up-front, then the courier will do on your behalf it and charge you for the service. The taxes apply to used goods too. If you circumvent the process then its contraband and you are smuggling (but it's only an issue if you are caught!).

Since we're being pedantic, I'd suggest the word is "alluded". 🙂

A beat up Precision. And maybe a well-used Ric (but don't throw that one at a wall!).

What am I actually trying to achieve and with what?

You're still welcome to try out some of mine if you like; I mentioned that I took an Ampeg pre/power along to a Bass Bash a couple of years ago and never powered it on because my Markbass EVO sounded so good. -

I think @NancyJohnson has had an RBI, and also a 2112. The VT500 is sometimes jokingly referred to as an "AvecAmp", because it is an integrated amp with a 500W power stage; according to Tech 21 it is "formulated with the same proprietary technology as our SansAmp Character Series VT Bass DI pedal.". Interestingly, I happened across this thread from a few years back... -
I prefer an equipment-style case for musical equipment, though I do have a Peli wheeled one for my cables & oddments.

This Trace Elliot ELF never ceases to amaze me!!!!

Not having to carry a great lump of a thing is good for you 'elf too! -
I watched for sale items on ebay/FB/whatever for a while and eventually something the exact size for my PT (don't remember the precise model) popped up. More of a strategy than a recommendation for a particular item. You can also get interior foam from such as Shadowfoam or Sealey to make things a snug fit.

Isn't the AvecAmp (SansAmp with an amp) pretty much that? -

I've been wondering about an ICE amp; I was at a car show and some of them were kicking out ridiculous bass - I was thinking my bass pedals could do with something like that. -

Maybe a mixer and a PA. Oh, DI the BDDI into the PA! 🙂 -

Yep "Bat Out Of Hell" and "I Would Do Anything" have me reaching for the off switch. Also anything by Status Quo, Bruce Springsteen, and Guns'n'Roses. Oh, and thanks whoever mentioned "Come On Eileen" - that's now going round in my head!
