  1. With all that glass - perfect for shredding... ...your arm!
  2. Well, the bridge could be shifted across, but the pickups are left hand down a bit...
  3. That one deserved a guffaw.
  4. Supposed to be £79.40, I think.
  5. Well, not yer finest workmanship! But I bought it anyway... https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Rickenbacker-4004-Laredo-Bass-Midnight/173596874515 (This is after the event, so is not an item for sale, so shouldn't be breaking any rules.)
  6. The seller says they put the MM neck on it.
  7. Erm, a partsblaster with a US Mighty Mite neck with fake logo (and "Custom Shop" on back) and a bridge cover to hide some marks.... It's probably worth the initial £150 bid, though.
  8. I think he wants to take someone for a ride.
  9. That just popped up in my searches - wonder what it'll go for...
  10. The maker of that instrument has a great career ahead of them... ...however, not as a luthier.
  11. Some pink EMGs, budget Wilko machines, cheapo bridge, and a couple of pots & knobs plus some firewood - maybe £50?
  12. The amp buzzes/hums and the tweeter disintegrated (but you can have it too!). The box itself (apart from the hole where the tweeter goes) and the main speaker are fine. I used it as a cab with a shelf for an amp for a while, but I got something smaller & lighter (and yellower).
  13. Lino Lynne, the amazing short scale bass.
  14. Well, I only half identified MY OWN Rickenbacker! (In my defence, I can’t remember the last time I plugged it in...)(before the show).
  15. Aye, happen so.
  16. Herr appears to have a stutter: "The tTelecaster Bass".
  17. Like the bass I bought at a car boot last year?
  18. I also have my Frankinstein bass to finish.
  19. I nearly took mine to the Bass Bash on the weekend, but my guitar rack only had 5 slots.
  20. I once made an octave up pedal; it was just half-wave rectification and did make rather an interesting sound - I think it was from Elektor magazine and I etched the PCB. (I've still got it, uncased, but I might get it going again some time.)
