What are those "filler songs" you speak of on Moving Pictures? (I like Permanent Waves too though!)

Moving Pictures is generally thought of as their best album; I like Grace Under Pressure and Clockwork Angels too. For bass playing, there are two especially standout tracks: (The solo is how to make two chords sound nothing like two chords!)

I've bought parts from them by post without issue. If I were to go to Sheffield, I'd likely drop in.

Insult -> ignore list I have to say I've not been particularly affected by brexit; other things of recent times have had more impact, including Covid, the lettuce, Ukraine, energy prices, taxes, and scamming drivers.

I'm not a fan of the one-string bridges.

FYI, there's a Record Fair at Reading Uni this weekend (16th). I haven't been to one for a few years, but the last Reading one I went to (at a different venue) I met Jimmy Page.

I had to queue to get into the car park when I went a couple of years ago; not great after a 2-hour drive.

Grecos were predominantly made at the Fujigen factory, alongsids Ibanez, Electra, and other brands (they were essentially the same instrument with a different logo on the headstock). A good thru-neck one is probably top of the tree for vintage Japanese fakers. Some of the earlier bolt-on ones with different pickups maybe not quite so great.

I had an invite to go to their last final tour, but the ex double-booked me, so I missed out.

I tend to give videos a minute or so and if they're just focusing on the singer with maybe a cursory shot of the guitarist striking a pose, then I tend to wander off.

I blame brexit!

I wouldn't mind going to see the support acts, but I'd be getting the train home early once they were done.
