  1. Their Ric fakers are well-regarded, but Precisions don't command the same sort of money. https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/175592500429
  2. Red flags for me include: "if you're looking you'll know what this is", "pm me for a price", and "PayPal F&F".
  3. They're tug-bars - so you can hold there whilst playing with your thumb.
  4. It's great to see one with the headstock intact! Someone's been trying to sell one in the UK with a broken headstock for ages, asking £1900 - https://www.facebook.com/marketplace/item/1593982981029030/ This is way better!!!
  5. Not that great - at £16 it looks overpriced!
  6. The way the drop-D eXtender works is it turns the tuning peg a fraction to detune it to the note you want, typically D. It does exactly the same as you would do if you grabbed the tuning key and turned it. The only difference is it has a lever to do it for you and allows you to set the turn precisely via a thumscrew to set the stop-point of the rotation. This pic shows two of them and you can see that the levers are pulled and the tuning key has dropped backwards maybe 1/16 of a turn as the whole tuner chassis has rotated. Looking behind, the way it works is that the whole original tuner is a floating assemble which pivots around the tuning peg and sits on top of a backplate which is fixed to the headstock. Pulling the lever allows it to rotate the requisite amount. It's great if you want to easily flip between the two, but if you're going to permanently play in drop-D then there's no point in having it.
  7. He's a good drummer - I saw him with Jeff Beck on the There & Back tour, along with Mo Foster. Him & Mo were also the rhythm section on the first MSG album, around the same time.
  8. I recently bought a Tokai Strat off someone who wanted the money to buy a model train.
  9. That’s a fair price. I have two; they are really good basses. Quite heavy.
  10. Now I can see why it's called a Precision bass.
  11. Hmmmm - I think the Finch may be one of those "rare because not many sold" things; maybe slightly up from a Kay?
  12. Is that one of the ones with the stick-on quilted top?
  13. (You can chop off everything from the "?" onwards in the ebay link - that's the ebay tracking info about you...)
  14. I would quite like one of these, but they are a rather strange size. (I'm sure there's a joke in there somewhere!)
  15. Yes - Fasiwoon! And ISTR there was a "Fendre" case as well.
  16. Spoilsport! I think he could’ve styled it out
  17. I was looking at this back then, but had just spent up.
  18. I bought mine for occasional effects rather than the mainstay controller of all sounds and amp modelling. One thing I did notice was that the thru sound (all switches off) drops in level, but I use it via loop switcher anyway, thereby bypassing (haha!) the issue. (And yes, I did look at its level adjustments and so-on.) That said, I do need to put some time into my pedal setup, as it's not come out of its case since the Bass Bash!
  19. I've never clicked through on his clickbait ads.
